Nope. He was detained exactly 24 hours then allowed to go home with terms. He breaks those terms numerous times but it’s allowed to break them. Some of those detained for months had far lesser charges, lots misdemeanors.

Amazing how the right wing keeps glossing over all of that - even as the Oathkeepers and Proud Boys trials are ongoing with more and more of those kinds of details coming out.

And as more of the video comes out, we find the details are not quite so.

Right, because of the presumption of innocence. If there is conflicting information, and both things are equally plausible or believable, we opt for the one that assumes innocence. This is basic constitutional rights. You can believe whatever you’d like, but we need evidence to use in court. Conflicting statements are not good evidence. The other defendants with weapon charges had evidence tying the weapons to them.

I don’t see any weapons charges. He said on video he had one, but later said he didn’t have one, and just said that to get to the front. So, without evidence, he is not going to be charged.

Right, because of the presumption of innocence. If there is conflicting information, and both things are equally plausible or believable, we opt for the one that assumes innocence. This is basic constitutional rights. You can believe whatever you’d like, but we need evidence to use in court. Conflicting statements are not good evidence. The other defendants with weapon charges had evidence tying the weapons to them.

Lots of J6 protesters had knives and other weapons on them. Some also had encrypted radios, zip ties, assault plans made weeks in advance, and were coordinating as designated breach teams. Amazing how the right wing keeps glossing over all of that - even as the Oathkeepers and Proud Boys trials are ongoing with more and more of those kinds of details coming out.

And as more of the video comes out, we find the details are not quite so.
