Whole foods pasta salad smells like nail polish remover

I see from the ingredients it has vinegar and also vitamin E. Maybe it's the vitamin e that's making it smell bad? Has anyone experienced this? I am worried because I had one small bite and I'm pregnant. I'm throwing the rest away.

This is what comes of eating pasta salad. Which is vulgar according to DCUM.

I'm one to play chicken with the expiration date, but if it doesn't smell right you need to toss it, regardless of the date. A chemical smell would make me think something has turned.

Low class people eat pasta salad. High class people eat couscous.

I would toss it. In the trash.

Not surprised. I rarely find any of their prepared foods to be good.

High class people don't talk about high class people vs. low class people.

You're pregnant and your sense of smell is hyperactive and may not detect smells as usual. For safety, don't eat the rest! But I doubt there's anything really wrong with it.

There is an "odor" around a lot of the stuff in their salad bar. What IS that smell?

Throw it to be safe, OP.

I wouldn't eat it, but also being pregnant, I can say that my sense of smell is seriously skewed right now. It's a bit better now that I'm in my second tri, but I'd probably Lean towards "it's you" vs. "it's the pasta salad". Could be something as simple as you smelling the plastic of the container. I still wouldn't chance it.
