They are seizing land, it's provocative, dangerous, and illegal. http://time.com/4394282/israel-west-bank-east-jerusalem-settlements-us-un/ |

Because we keep funding their illegal actions. Time to stop throwing gazillions of our American dollars at that bottomless pit of horror. |
No, it's not merely because we permit it. I want to know what the reason is that they want to do it in the first place, before the results in some act of violent reprisal? Why? Is there not enough real estate available on their side of the line, or is this about using civilians to conquer land one subdivision at a time? Or is it about preventing a long term two state solution? What is the motive for the government doing it? |
| They are like any other theocracy that believes God wants them to own more land and subjugate other people. |
This is why. In the donor class, being seen as anti-Israel hurts your fund raising. So Israel can do anything it wants ...including expanding its colonies outside its boarders. |
But WHY DOES IT WANT THIS? |
| Because they face no consequences, only rewards for their actions. |
Yep more money for "defense" of Israel is on its way.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/02/world/middleeast/us-increase-military-aid-israel.html?_r=0 We don't want to stop them...we go out of our way make sure they get what they want. Therefore we want a greater Israel. |

The Zionist (Israeli Gov.) are claiming "The Land of Israel". They already have developments planned for it and the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
fyi There is a suit right now trying to remove the non-profit status of several US Organizations that funnel money, tax free, to Israel for settlements. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/12/sued-donations-illegal-israeli-settlements-151230080026247.html http://www.martinmcmahonlaw.com/Plaintiff's%20Opposition%20to%20Treasury's%20MTD%20-%205.27.16%20FILED-1.pdf |
That will be labeled anti Semitic just like the disinvestment movement. The U.S. does not support a two state solution. |

| Because why not? They won the land in a war. Just like every country on earth. They just won it more recently than most. |
Because Israel proper is a very tiny country, and real estate there is prohibitively expensive. People don't want to pay 2 million dollars for an apartment in Tel Aviv. If this was the dream of living in Israel, no one would sign up. They want a dream that the aliya machine has sold them - a suburban house with a yard, a pool, and a garage, at a price that doesn't break the bank. This is only possibly through continued acquisition (read grab) of land that Israel doesn't own. It doesn't stop with land. You need support services and infrastructure to service the land. You need roads, water, power lines. You don't have enough within your own boundaries. So you commandeer them from your neighbor and call it necessary to service vital needs of your own population. This is not about religion and has never been. This is about struggle for resources in the world where they are very limited. |
| Continued...the alternative to the ongoing land grab for Israel is to stop its immigration policy of "every Jew guaranteed a place in Israel" and acknowledge that currently Israel has as much population as it is capable of servicing within its borders. Any new immigrants will have accept severely limited living conditions. Politically, this is untenable, and no Israeli prime minister will want to align himself with this statement. So, Israel continues to press on with its unlimited immigration policy, and to steal resources to support this population. |
Do it without US aid. It's a hold over from the cold war. The U.S. should just announce Israel has made it clear they do not want a two state solution and we are pulling out of the Camp David Accords. This will change nothing in the region, but we will stop paying both sides and looking the other way. |
