Alright, so I'm an incoming high school senior, and I really want to go to Lock Haven. Here are my grades for these past 3 years:
Freshman: English 9 HP: A/A Freshman Seminar: A/A Biology HP: A/A Algebra 1: B/B 1st-year P.E.: A/A French 1: A/A Sophomore: English 10 HP: A/A World History AP: A/A(and I got a 5 on the AP exam) Chemistry P: A/B Geometry B: A/B 2nd-year P.E.: A/A French 2: A/A Junior: English 11 AP: A/A US History AP: A/A Biology AP: A/A Algebra 2 P: B/A Spanish 1: A/A French 3: A/A I also took the SAT and got a perfect score on the reading and writing sections, and I did okay on the math section. My GPA comes out to a 3.86. So as you can see, math is clearly not my strongest subject. I'm a year behind in it, and got B's 4 semesters of it. This year I will be taking: English 12 AP Econ AP Physics P Pre-Calculus P Spanish 2 French 4 HP I really wanted to take Pre-Calculus this summer so I could take AP Calculus AB my senior year, but my teacher didn't okay it, as I wasn't in honors and I didn't get an A both semesters. I've heard from other classmates that it's really important to have AP Calculus on your transcript when applying to colleges. I'll be applying to colleges other than Lock Haven of course, such as Edinboro UP, Beth Medrash Govoha, University of Maina, University of New Hampshire, and I'm worried about what these colleges will think when they see I don't have AP Calculus on my transcript. Is it really a deal-breaker? Can I get into any of these colleges? |
| You're in. Lock Haven has rolling admissions so you should go ahead and apply early and have a low-stress senior year. |
| Oh, please. Lock Haven has a 94% admittance rate. Who are you fooling with your stats? These types of threads are too plentiful. My crystal ball might be cracked but this thread just doesn't seem legit. |
ha ha, very funny Op
|
What does the acceptance rate have to do with anything? It's a college I'd really like to go there, because I hear the people there are really friendly. |
| OP, ignore the jerks on this board. Congratulations on your excellent record and keep up the good work for senior year. |
In this instance it has everything to do with your question which is your chance of admission. A 94% rate is close to a guarantee. Unless they have a policy not to admit trolls. |
I just googled it, and it actually has a 72% acceptance rate. |
|
I'm not sure why anyone would troll Lock Haven.
OP, you suck. The people there really ARE nice and don't deserve your trolling. Shame on you. |
| ^ U.S. News says 93% |
|
Is this Paleo Con? |
|
Sorry but never heard of this university. Impossible to add any value (plus or minus).
|
Then why did you post? You have to be awfully narcissistic to think the world is interested in your anonymous non-opinion.
|
|
Not familiar with 3 of the colleges on your list but for the ones I know about - Edinboro and Lock Haven, you are as good as admitted.
Where do you go to high school? If you are not a troll - what about these colleges are appealing to you? |
I'll get to stay on the east coast. I'd love to go somewhere like UVA or Swarthmore, but I'm being realistic. |
