Anyone have any reviews/insights on Camp Wabanna?
I'm interested too. Thanks!
My kids (13 yr. old twins) have gone for the past two years and will attend this summer. They love it. It is everything the website advertises. Beautiful grounds and accommodations. Wholesome and although it is Christian, faith based, it's not over the top. I highly recommend it.
Thank you. Is it pretty diverse? We're looking for diversity. How is the food? Any issues with lodging? Was there A/C (last camp we went to my DD said was unbearaby hot at night and there were no plugs for fans). Did your twins think they were good about encouraging kids to meet new people? My DD wouldn't be going with a friend or sibling or anything. |
I'm the PP who offered feedback on Camp Wabanna. Yes, it is diverse. My children are African American. Cabins/dorms seem renovated and had A/C and modernized bathrooms. I send my DD with a friend because she gets anxious about camp. My son makes friends easily and is more independent.
^^counselors help kids adjust and facilitate friendships.
Food is served in a dining room and is good according to kids.
Thank you.
I keep thinking this subject title says Camp Wannabe.

Yes, if we wanted to really rough it, we'd hitch a tent. We don't. |
