Hi all, new mom here (6 day old baby!) and definitely learning the ropes. Do you have a recommendation for best value for newborn diapers and wipes? Not sure we need anything fancy or organic, but just something that works well. Are some of the store brands (Target, Safeway) good, or should I go on Amazon?
Any advice is welcome. Thanks! |
| I used target on all three of my kids and never had an issue (no leaks, no diaper rash). Awesome because they go on sale a lot and sometimes get a free gift card. |
| A lot of people love Target's up & up brand or Costco's Kirkland brand |
| I use the Target wipes and Babies R Us diapers. |

Congrats, OP!
We found that Amazon Prime is the best value for the diapers that we use, but our son has very sensitive skin and Pampers worked best for us. I know that a lot of people on here rave about Target diapers and we tried them but plain old Pampers worked best. What I would suggest is that you try several kinds of diapers and wipes and see what works best for you before buying a big box of anything. |
| I used the target diapers on my first child (now 10), but do not like the current design. They are much thinner/more flimsy than they used to be. |
| Costco (They have coupons every third month) |

Target diapers, buy the biggest box for the best value (but only if you'll be in that size for a while!). I used Pampers Swaddlers the first few months with both kids, then switched over.
I like Huggies Natural Care for wipes now, but I recall being happy with the Giant store brand when we lived in the DC area. |
| Huggies are the cheapest. I bought from jet.com but now we use the choline free Kroger brand diaper and seventh generation wipes. We spend around $50 per month. Whole foods also has a brand . |
| We've used Pampers Swaddlers through Amazon Prime subscribe and save for our two kids. We switched to Kirkland for DD1 when she started daycare at one year. We'll probably stay with Pampers for DD2 because we no longer belong to Costco. We get Huggies wipes through Amazon subscribe & save, too. |
| Pampers through Amazon mom subscribe and save are a great deal. I think Target might have been a touch cheaper, but the difference is really only maybe $5 a month. Unless your budget is really tight, just find whatever is the most convenient for you. |
| Luvs are the cheapest, and are great. I get them from Amazon Prime, which is the cheapest place to get them. |
| This might not be your thing, but we switched to cloth and saved so much money w/o a big increase in time bc we didn't have to shop for diapers and fewer blowouts. |
Question about Amazon prime diaper membership. If you sign up for size 1 diapers and your baby moves to size 2 are you easily able to change the size before the next order auto ships? Thanks! |
