Any ideas? trying to get my kids (5 year old boy and 7 year old girl) something interesting and unique for their ramadan gifts. I know they would love another lego set, but i'm just wondering what more is out there, |
| Snap Circuits Jr? I don't know if that counts as building. |
| Magnatiles/magformers, zoobs, snap circuits, marble run sets |
| Magnatiles or magformers. |
|
Go to fatbraintoys.com -- you can search by age and category (such as construction toys or building stuff).
We like Magnatiles, Squigz, and Lego Technic (remote control legos). |
| We have a GoldieBlox set that has been getting a lot of use. |
| Magnatiles get a ton of use at our house. Goldieblox were not as popular. |
| Tegu, Squigz, Pinblocks |
| There are some interesting architectural block sets out there that my two sons enjoyed at that age. |
DC has something like this and totally loves them. |
|
Planks. Very simple but surprisingly fun.

| If you are near Child's Play (Chevy Chase DC and Rockville and somewhere in VA) stop by and they will have tons of unique options. |
|
+1 Child's play, e.g. Straws and Connectors, Magformers,
Staff is VERY helpful. Not sure if Childs Play has these but probably does - Zoob bot. My obsessive builder LOVES them after years of Magnatiles, Lego, Straws, etc. |
| Snap Circuits are great at that age. |

Tinker Toys
Jaw Bonz (don't know if I got the spelling right) |
