Super structs -- they sell them at the building museum and on amazon. they are great and the instructions are really good so kids can do the steps by themselves

Yeah, I clicked to post Keva Planks. They also have a set called "Contraptions" where you build courses for a ball to roll through. My girls love them and spend hours building a variety of courses.

We have Citiblocks. Same thing, a bit cheaper. They come in colors, as well (that's what we have). These are more popular in our house than magformers, legos, or snap circuits.
