Richard Simmons transitioning to becoming a woman?

So according to the National Enquirer, that is the real reason for his disappearance over the last 2 years. I fully support LGBT issues and hope he's happy - it's certainly better than allegedly being cooped up in your home over severe depression... but if true, this came as a surprise!

I would need MUCH more reliable sources before I believed this.

Why would you believe anything the Enquirer says? My mom used to buy that magazine, very little of what they report is true.

Right, just ask John Edwards and Charlie Sheen. All lies!

They've stopped all that "aliens lived in my basement" type stuff from the 80s and 90s.

To be fair, the National Enquirer was the first to break the (true) storiy about John Edwards, and a number of other less shockwave-y stories.

How can you be surprised? Something has always been up with him/her. Simmons always been a bit off. I am glad to hear that she is finally transitioning and I hope she is very happy.

I could believe it, but I need a more reliable source first. I thought it was more likely that he's been in hiding because he gained a lot of weight, which could still be true if he's dealing with emotional identity turmoil.

The tabloids (National Enquirer specifically) are kind of trustworthy when it comes to these big, breaking stories (John Edwards, Charlie Sheen as mentioned). Maybe not so on the smaller gossip stuff.

I like Richard so I wish her much peace and happiness. May she find the happiness that she brought to so many other people.

Bat Boy!

Bat Boy was from Weekly World News (or whatever its name was) and not National Enquirer.

Bat Boy was awesome.

Oh yeah, another one the Enquirer was going to break (but gave notice to the family first)... Bristol Palin was pregnant with baby #1.

Did they break the news on baby #2, as well? (Sorry, I just don't follow the family.) I think there was some sort of controversy about Palin's broken engagement and later pregnancy announcement.

Whatever the case, I wish Richard the best.

I don't believe anything the National Enquireerererer says, but I would also not really be surprised if Richard becomes a woman. Even as a little kid I knew watching him that he was very effeminate, even though I didn't know that word.

Oh he is too old for that, he'd probably have a heart attack on the operating table. Not a good late-life choice really.

Do you not even realize how you contradict yourself?
