| Just curious. |
| GDS. The kids can go anywhere they want. |

Not sure why this topic, but my son loves lunch at Sidwell. Best parts: included in tuition, lunch program has great variety of foods and exposes him to foods he would otherwise not try, and has great nutritional value.
Today's lunch: May 24, 2016 MS/US Tom Kha with Lemon Grass Soup Asian Pear Salad Mandarin Couscous Coconut Asian Chicken Orange Sriracha Tofu and Veggies Edamame, Corn, and Shitake Mushrooms Asian Vegetable Stir Fry Scallion Sticky Rice Fortune Cookies |
| Most menus are online. |
Holy smokes. Can I go there for lunch too? |
|
I wouldn't choose a school based on the "best" food, but if you're at a school with subpar food, knowing where to look for improvement is useful.
BTW, if folks respond it would be helpful to list the caterer who does the food - I don't think too many schools do things in-house any more. |
But that almost guarantees the worst lunch, judging by the eating habits and preferences of most teens (including myself at that age). |
Me too. My school never had lunches like this. My lunch now is not even close to this!

That doesn't sound good at all... |
And an ass kicking at the hands of uhh "Wilson students" or "DC thugs." |

Preps food is good and filling for growing boys but not as gourmet as Sidwell which has a welll known chief. When my son shadowed for 6 grade he was overwhelmed with gratitude about the lunches he would have for the next 7 years. He loves Asian
Food and the rice bowl Bar blew him away. Very funny |
FWIW, NPS and Sheridan share the same caterer as Sidwell. Menus are similar. Pretty sure most privates have pretty decent offerings. |
| Sidwell is done in house. |
| Landon food is awful |
Ugh. That look wonderful to me, but my kid would just eat the rice. Maybe the chicken if not too seasoned. |
