| There is also a daily salad bar and sandwich bar, so if they don't want the entrees, there is a fallback option. |
| I always tell my kids to eat more at lunch because I hate cooking. They're at Sidwell. |
No, they have a caterer. Meriwether Godsey I think is the name of it. |
Holton has the same caterer and the food is great. The kitchen staff is very accommodating too for girls with restrictions like gluten free. My daughter always raves about everything. |
The same caterer does a bunch of privates in Richmond. I keep drooling over the lunch menu where we want to send DS for middle. |
| NPS uses Meriweathwr Godsey (sp) and DS loves it. Full salad bar with great combos, fresh fruit (whole and cut) and solid hot lunch choices. Thank goodness because I'm a terrible cook |
| Potomac School's food for UP and IS is amazing. It's done in-house. St Albans is okay, combo between catered and in-house prep. |
I know, right? |
|
I hate to admit it but not hunting food off campus was a big reason we went to Potomac over GDS. Can't opine on Sidwell because we never applied.
|
| Love Potomac's food. |

| Ehh, these schools should serve nutritious, but simple foods and use the money saved for actual educational purposes. |
Sorry, I much prefer healthy options. Holton has free breakfast, lunch, and snacks and everyone, including staff, eat in the dining hall. It saves me a lot of time and money and I know they are eating healthy. |
|
My, how times have changed.
At my fancy schmancy private (not DC) the dining hall was completely and utterly unremarkable so 95% brought their own lunches. I'm not being judgmental but it never fails to astonish me how much glitzier private schools are these days compared to the 1980s-1990s. |
| Aside from GDS, what other schools don't serve lunch and are the tuitions lower? |
