| Weirdo conservative indoctrination camp |
| Extremely conservative, very small, liberal arts college that doesn't accept (or permit students to bring in) federal financial aid |
| Educates students in the (classical) liberal tradition. Outstanding quality of teaching, very rigorous. Yes it is very conservative politically. |
| Perfect college for Paleocon.... |
| Good place to go to get away from the type of person who would write angry-liberal things like "Weirdo conservative indoctrination camp" on message boards. |
| Better than PHC. |
Respected with strong academics. |
| Conservative, yes. But the reason they don't accept federal aid is because they don't want to be beholden to government restrictions and control. The kids I've known who've gone there are really smart, creative, and very open-minded--but conservative. It seems like you get a great education there without the liberal bias you find at most colleges/ universities. Also, Hillsdale is big on history and learning about the founding of the US and the Constitution. |

Why? |
| Didn't Denise Huxtable meet Whitley there? |
And just who do you think started this thread? LOL! |
My first reaction too, but I think that was Hillman College. |
Because it's a full-size college with a broad enough range of departments. Hillsdale has a chemistry department, for example. PHC does not. That matters, even if you never intend to take a chemistry class. Hillsdale has the resources of a full academic community. PHC does not. |
