They should add MIT to the list - the bias is much worse there against Asian females in particular because in this area you may get an interview with a white male who may view hobbies like cooking or favorite things to do as visiting grandma as less than inspiring. Never mind his support for Trump. Makes my stomach turn.

Agreed. I have many east asian students, and they are a true pleasure to work with. Great work ethic, intelligent, creative, hard working. They should go to the college they want to go to.

Yuck. The Ivies are already crawling with Asians. I wonder how many schools in Korea and China bend over backwards to admit non-Asians. And you wonder why Trump will be the next President.

I understand if they file such a lawsuit against public universities, but I would think private universities can choose whatever criteria they want to admit students. I'm not saying it's right. Just saying I don't see how the gov't can force these private universities to strictly use test scores and grades for admissions. I'm Asian, btw.

OCR ducked on Harvard saying they were punting until fisher II was decided.

It took the Jews 30-40 years to shake the quota. Hopefully it doesn't take that long in this case either

Private schools can discriminate if they wish to not take a dime of federal funding.

That is the mechanism by which the government has a rightful say on this civil rights issue.

Your attitude is yuck. So they are "crawling" with Asians. Maybe it's because they studied really hard? I don't know if China or Korea has non-Asians wanting to go to universities there, but if there were, I'm sure they would admit them if they had top scores. All Asian universities care about are top scores.

Typical Trump supporter - don't want to have to work hard and compete. You want the gov't to bar anyone who might take your position away from you because you can't hack it on your own. It's usually the wealthy white people who use "bribes" to get their kids into elite universities here because they otherwise can't do it on their own merit.

I am mixed on the issue. On one hand, I definitely see their point. On the other side, what happens to African Americans and Hispanics who get bonus points to their score for their minority status. Do you change the criteria for universities to allow one group to have more students, Asians, knowing the ruling would really harm another minority group, African American and Hispanic.

Im an asian who says make the races equal in admissions, but give lower income applicants an advantage.
