Anybody know the date to expect an appeal decision?

| Does anybody know about the appeal process dates? Due 5/13, but is there a date that the board meets? Any idea when the letters will be sent if your child does or does not get in on appeal? From the FCPS AAP timeline, it just says June. Would love to know if it's early June or after classes get out. Thanks! |

| The letter of ineligibility said for appeals we'd hear "by June"... Does that mean by june 1st? |

Some of the other dates on that calendar don't match other dates we've seen this year. They had appeals due 4/29, so I think that's outdated.

Probably why it was described as the first version of the calendar. |

| Last year we got the letter around June 27 and it needed to be back in their office by July 1 or something ridiculous like that. We were on vacation and were able to get an email copy from the AAP office and then email it back to them since we wouldn't be getting back to Virginia until after the 1st of July. |

Two years ago, the principal told me verbally on the last day of school.
We got the letter the next day. |

| The form says by June. I am assuming a month from now but that's only my assumptions based on earlier years results. Best bet would be to call the central offices and find out the exact date. |

Thanks. It is very possible to hear back from the appeals committee in first or second week of June since the committee is being convened from 5/9/2016-5/11/2016, sufficient enough to start reviewing those came on/before the 5/13 deadline. Cheers. |

What if one mailed in the appeal on the 13th? How long does this committee sit? Maybe not sending in ASAP was a mistake! |

| I doubt it. Deadline was May 13th. That date was pushed back from April 29th. It's quite possible that the date for convening the appeals committee was also pushed back to accommodate this. |
