What's so terrible about the name Sophie?

It is so, so, so, so common. And wasn't even on the charts 10 years ago. Very trendy.

Who cares? If she likes the name, why does it matter if it is trendy?

+1 my name is Jennifer. There were 3 others in my class growing up, but I liked/like my name. So what?

Sigh. My name is Sophie. I like it. I guess others do too an that's why 30 years later they followed my parents lead.

I love both of these names. What exactly does "woof, woof" mean anyway? Are you saying they are dog names?

A neighbor just had an Emerson-- I'm not sure if it's a boy or girl, and it feels awkward to ask. I assume I'll figure it out eventually, either by hearing the mom say "he" or "she" or by observing the colors s/he is wearing. Also just met a Noelle.

Me too! When I started my first job as a teen, there were 7 Jennifer's on staff! I like my name too and unbelievably, I still get asked how to spell it on occasion. I really don't run into other Jennifer's all that often anymore. I am the only one at work (75 staff).
