NPR reports today that Trone has out-spent his competitors five-fold.
Progressives care about a fair playing field. Billionaire Trone will pay whatever it takes to win. The hell with fairness. He's used to getting his way, no matter what. Trone doesn't belong here behaving like that, but his A-kissing "friends" aren't telling him the truth. Let him go with the Trump cash machine. He simply doesn't fit here. |
| I like him....seems like a good guy. Hopefully he will win and run for governor. |
What's there to like? Schmoozing? |
| I know nothing about him other than that he owns a bit wine business and is self-funding is campaign, which is perfectly legal and acceptable (John Corzine did the same in Jersey). So I don't understand why people hate him so much. Anyone willing to explain? |
I like him, too. I'm voting for him. |
Because if you're that rich, you must be a "good" guy? |
| I'm voting for him. He's nothing like trump. |
No, because he's a good guy. He made his money on his own. It was not handed to him by his parents. I like his message. |
And by the way I'm a minority and a woman. I've met him and know his stand on the important issues. |
| It makes me sad to be this jaded, but obviously Trone's competition is hosting this thread. |
The candidates almost all agree on all of the issues. He talks about how he buys access. He has donated more than a hundred thousand dollars to Republicans. He is trying to buy your vote just like he buys access. |
Exactly. That's the only "important issue" he has. |
|
There's also the fact that three of his staffers tried to infiltrate rival campaigns (he denies knowledge, of course): http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Beat/Web-2016/Kathleen-Matthews-Congressional-Campaign-Accuses-David-Trone-Campaign-Worker-of-Posing-As-Volunteer/

Yes. Completely pathetic. They know they're going to lose. Trone is nothing like Trump. |
| Their names both start with "Tr".... |
