LeGrifty Collective

| Women who come on a snark board and whine about it being snarky - nope, not basic at all 😝 |
| I live in Austin and my hairstylist is a freaking genius when it comes to color. The man is an artist. Man do I want to send Jenn his number. It would be my gift to the world! |

Charity navigator awarded Legacy Collective the platinum seal of transparency In 2023 so maybe the experts actually know more than we do with our pontification and assumptions. If you're not a donor or not a member then you don't get to see the financials. If you are you would know. I have nonprofit friends who work so hard to receive gold. Legacy collective was a very legit managed donor advised fund that is now a very legit 501(c)(3). Do your research before you accuse an organization of fraud. That's beyond Snark it's just stupidity. Stop showing your ignorance people.

And she/he/they’re back. Jen defenders are coming our of the woodwork. |
|
No pontifications or assumptions. Just noting that their grants are half of what they were the year prior. Straight from the LC Annual Report.
|
Worthy of investigation. 👀 |
| Keep digging. This is so worth of scrutiny. |

“"There's a slew of private charity raters, such as BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, and Guidestar. These groups confer a sheen of credibility on nonprofits through numerical ratings and gold stars. And yet a large number of problematic nonprofits enjoy high ratings on these sites."

If The LeGrifty Collective donated around $550,00 in 2022 in dumb grants but had overhead, expenses, and fundraising costs equaling roughly the same amount that would be horrible. All that waste being the middleman so Big Sis can act like a Queenmaker and promote her brand.
The LeGrifty Collective has zero value add. Zero. They just cut checks. Yeah, I’m sure these “giving circles” are real bee hives of “community” and “engagement”. The sheer obnoxiousness of these tryhards! |
I don't care who awarded them anything platinum, gold or otherwise. If only approximately one third of their collected funds were donated, I have some BIG questions about operating costs and where the rest of the money went. Especially when I could just donate my money to those charities directly and cut out what appears to be a VERY greedy middleman. Call me stupid and ignorant all you want to, but I'm not donating a penny to something so shady. |
|
| Agreed. I’m down to snark on Jen about everything else but I don’t get this board’s obsession with legacy collective. Some people want to give to giving circles instead of donating directly, it’s not anything new and it’s not fraudulent. Operating giving circles and nonprofits cost money. Marketing and fundraising is expensive. If anything, most of the negative comments on here about legacy collective just prove that most people here don’t understand how nonprofits work. If you are so convinced legacy collective is a scam, then report it! Otherwise, can we please get back to the interesting topics, like Jen’s hair and me courses? |
