How did you celebrate your 40th birthday?

Looking for ideas for celebrating this milestone birthday. On the list are a possible trip to Paris, skydiving, safari, dinner at French Laundry.

Seriously? I don't remember. I had a 4 and 6 year old at the time so dh and I probably put them to bed, cracked open a bottle of wine and you know...

Nice dinner, then went home and shot myself up with IVF drugs.

Went out to dinner with friends and after they walked back to our house where there was a HUGE catered surprise party with all of my friends and family inside. DH rocks. I'm the lame planner.

I had very small kids so didn't do trip--but I'd definitely do a trip.

For 50th--I plan to do a big one...rent a villa.

I rented out a large room in a restaurant with a dance floor, hired a band, threw a big party w/ food and drink and invited all my friends.

It was fabulous.

Planned a party for myself for my 33'rd also (random but called for at the time) and am planning my 50th.

I'm a big fan of throwing parties in general and love ones where I can include everyone.

Going to Vegas for DH's 40th. Mine is in a few years, so we'll see. Probably a trip to celebrate.

I have another year. I currently don't even know what the next week will bring, let alone a year from now.

I'd love a trip...anywhere. But we are too poor for that currently. It sucks to have never really been anywhere and watch the years tick away. I'll probably never see all the places I wanted to see.

Pig roast with family and friends and friends of family and family of friends. It was the best party I've ever been to. Reminded me of all the love I have in my life.

I'll be 40 next month. I'm either doing a big at home party or going bobb y mckeys....love that place. My BF and I and two other same age friends are going to do a girls weekend trip in August. Haven't settled on a location but we're thinking Toronto.
