If you didn't have to work and had an unlimited budget, what/where would you go for the summer?

We do have a limited budget (20k) and time (1 month) but I would like some ideas.

Ski in the southern hemisphere

I would do a week in bermuda, then italy. Not sure $15k would cover 3 weeks in italy.

With kids? Pre kids it would have been Europe or turkey or thailand. With kids, ehh maybe still there.

I would do Asia. Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Or I traveled through Europe when I was younger for a month. SO interesting and i got to see lots of smaller cities that were very picturesque.

I'd definitely go to Asia with a month and that much cash.

Japan, Australia, New Zealand

In this order - Australia, New Zealand and either a resort in Indonesia (e.g., Bali) or somewhere in the south Pacific for a great romantic end to the journey.

Barcelona as a base. You can travel around Catalonia and the South of France.

OP here. That is what we did last year - Italy, Spain and France.

OP here. I was considering Asia. Wondering if it would be too much by myself with the kids. I'm concerned about language. At least in Europe most people speak some English.

How many kids? Not sure your money would stretch far enough. Maybe less time and go with a tour group so you don't have to worry so much about the language

I would rent a house in Chatham and hire a summer sitter for a few hours a week.

How old are your kids?

I would park myself in Italy for a few weeks, mosey on over to Paris for another couple weeks. And I've always wanted to go to Denmark...

I would steer clear of Asia, my own personal presence...
