First of all equal division of genders has NEVER been a characteristic much less a requirement of juries. Second it 7 women and nine men, four of which are alternates. We do not know who the alternates are. NOR do the alternates themselves. Only once the trail ends will the alternates be dismissed. Jeez. American jury trial 101
