I've been reading the thread about wanting to work and it seems that so many of you love your jobs. I'm very curious to know what people do. |
Do men "love" their jobs? |
don't be so negative. some folks do, and she's asking.
I don't "love" much, but I really like my job and my field. Economist. |
I liked being a designer. I love being a dance teacher. But I am doing both. |
My husband does. Coincidentally he's also an economist. |
I love what I do - I manage eadvocacy campaigns. |
DH also loves his job. He is an NMT, studying to be an acupuncturist and teaches martial arts. |
Do women "love" childbirth, pregnancy, having to conform to standards of external beauty, competing for male attention, and being the only competent adult in the household? Stop whining, Dad, and enjoy a world that's set up to be your personal playground. If you can make money, you can find women to take care of everything else. |
Commercial real estate - interesting, ever-changing (not always in a good way lol), and the hours are pretty flexible. |
I'm a researcher, coordinating large-scale surveys for the federal government. |
I was an HR Director at an accounting firm in Bethesda and I loved it. I am now a SAHM and I love it even more. |
I work as a government lawyer and do love my job. A big reason for that is that I work reasonable hours, make a decent salary, have a lot of autonomy and am appreciated. I imagine I could like just about any job that offered me these things. |
Another govt lawyer here...I would say I very very very much like my job...b/c I am inherently a lazy person, I could only LOVE winning the lotteryy and travelling the world, but I digress....I echo the same reasons given above, plus I work from home 50% of the time and my job is very low stress...no clients, no phone calls, no putting out fires, and also no travel, which is perfect for me b/c I have a child at home and a husband who travels a lot. |
You must be at SEC. It's not a bad salary at most $150K, but if I was a lawyer I'm not sure I would work for federal government. |
Another economist here - I also love my job. |
