My child was admitted (via email), but we haven't received the letter yet so I do not know the scores. Can you point me to where the Barnsely median was reported? I cannot find it...

It's in the letter. Wait for the letter.

What do you plan to use this information for?

So they give the median scores in the letter?
Anonymous
The letter will have the median scores for the accepted students at your center and your child's scores.

OP here. The admission process is extremely opaque, the district does not release any information about who gets in or why. DCUM is the only resource on these issues. Motivation is to shed light, nothing more.

These were reported yesterday on the HGC rejection letter three, from people who got their letters in the mail yesterday.

I will provide the medians here once I have them. Only email right now, nothing more. I'm confused what the purpose is for this "data call" (sounds like fedspeak). Presumably the invited kids will be above the medians. I think it's going to be hard to make this fully transparent since the other 2/3 of admission are essay and teacher recs.

What essay?

10:01 - Invited kids won't be consistently above median, as that is middle of the pack score.

Barnsley has a higher numbers than Clearspring??

Yes - each center has a unique profile. Coldspring has been highest among them in the past, clear spring on the low end.

Often an individual student will have different scores in different sections so, for example, she might be well above median in one, below in a second, and at the median in a third. Therefore, it is unlikely that many students with below the median scores in all three sections would be admitted. There was an appeal to the MD state board of education about a student who was rejected. It confirmed this.

Why is that shocking, PP? The feeder clusters to Barnsley are WJ, Rockville, Wheaton, and RM. Those are not exactly low scoring HS.
