Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

Look up "Meghan marked" in the urban dictionary. Lol. She has a history of using people then getting rid of them when no longer useful.

Tree excerpts from finding freedom are horrible

Welcome to the pandemic.

I hate to break it to you. Her issues as a mother preceded the pandemic. She even said she was worried about his social development because she is too famous to go mommy and me in L.A..

I hate to break it to you. You aren’t as great of a mother as you think you are.

I read about their new home - enormously lavish, neighbors to elite Hollywood players. Seems incongruous with their focus on disenfranchised communities, social justice, and equal rights and opportunities as their life’s work. Not that they should live in a hovel but there is a huge divide between the lives of the people and communities they are purportedly working to help, and their own. They are living in a palatial estate among the most wealthy. Talk about segregation.

It's really gross. At least in a palace you have the pretense of duty. Just gross. How can you live in such luxury when so many in the world are suffering?

I’m going to assume you, and other posters live in tiny apartments or condos right? There is no way in hell you are living in a house or townhouse in DC or surrounding suburbs.

PP here. Not the same thing at all, but nice try.

Yadda yadda. He lost me when it was established that he was receiving financial support from his daughter while she was on suits. As a parent I would tighten my belt or get a job before I did that.

It's very normal to give money to your parents when they are old and ailing or otherwise in bad luck. Especially when the parent in question did everything they could to help you succeed earlier. And especially if the child has stumbled upon some success. I've been sending money to my parents for years.

It's not normal to not speak to your father for years.

It's also not normal to not introduce your father to the person you are planning to marry.

Did she lose you when she lied that she paid for her own schooling?

Meghan’s entire (White) side of the family are poor by their own choices.

Thomas lives in Rosarito, Mexico because that’s where Americans who can’t afford the US go to live as they age.

The diplomat uncle lives in a trailer park. How many former diplomats do you know live in trailer homes? He didn’t pay housing for decades, so where did all his income go? Drugs, gambling or addiction.

The stepsister also lives in a trailer home.

I’m not saying they deserve to live in squalor but as the only extremely successful member of the youngest generation Meghan is not required to support all of them financially.

No one said anything about supporting them all financially. You don't know the extent to which she supported her father - that part has never been made public.

As to her diplomat uncle, I don't know why he lives in a trailer park. I do know she wouldn't have got her internship without his help. That's a fact. I do know he has Parkinson's and a pacemaker. I don't know why health problems at an old age in this country bankrupt people. I do know that's a shame.

Her uncles have never done anything to embarrass her. It's just that Meghan clearly prefers to pretend she sprang from the earth just as she is, with all her talents honed entirely by herself with no help from anyone. And she doesn't want any family members interfering with this story.

It's hard not to see a pattern of narcissism in her. As been pointed out before in this thread, she's cut off or distanced herself from literally every possible connection to her childhood and college and young adult years, except for her mother. As if once someone was no longer useful to her, she just shut them out. I've seen that pattern in other people who are hardly famous.

The causes of NPD are (1) genetics and (2) formative early experiences. What are the odds as to her twice divorced father (so someone who shares her genetics) who has no relationship with the majority of his children And has publicly attacked her is just some normal down on his luck dude?

I just am baffled why people on here are stumbling all over themselves to defend him when he’s clearly toxic.

+1

And I’m baffled AF about people complaining they haven’t sent Archie. Y’all told this woman to take her man and child and go away. She went away. And y’all still pissed?!

Gah, I know it doesn't matter and no one cares what I think but I still think Archie is the dumbest name. I can't help it.

Exactly the same thing. You want to condemn her from your overpriced rowhouse. Nice try at spinning.

No, it's really not. Where the F do you live since you are so morally superior?

Quite the step up from Frogmore.

Yep, I'm sure she is enjoying every moment as a homeowner. Don't think they'll be going back to Frogmore before Archie turns 5.

Meanwhile Britain is melting d-o-w-n.

Better tighten up those belts royals, those palaces are looking a little gaudy.

You’re the one who thinks they are morally superior. I’m not out here condemning someone for living in “luxury when so many in the world are suffering.”

Your exact words, while you no doubt live in luxury and better than most. There’s a word for someone like you, starts with an “h”...

My take is that first and foremost Harry desired a family of his own, and will make them his priority, always.

That being said, his royal standing was a gilded cage to be sure, but he had decided to use his platform to put good in the world and connect to people.

Hiding away in an L.A. mansion is not what he wanted, but the wife and son with him are what he wanted most.

He is making a compromise that probably feels right some days and misguided on others. For someone who never got to make choices of his own, this is new territory.

I think they made the best choice for their child and future children. The British press were relentless against Meghan in the short 2 years she was resident in the U.K. and they had a terrible track record with protecting Diana or Fergie. Beatrice and Eugenie were also cannonfodder in the 90s.

This way the Sussex children are raised in a safe and happy environment without the pressure of being torn apart every time they step outside in Britain.

I'm so happy for them.
