Thanks looks like a little smaller than vys and McLean. But bigger than others in the area.

Yes, three.

About the same size as McLean and Vienna (who also average about three teams per age). GFR has 3-5 teams per age group with 3 being the norm.

More like 2-3 per age group. Might be 2 or 3 with 4 teams.

Nope, our DD got an offer and I’m going to adviser her to decline. Had a coach in the other thread yelling at another commenter. Too much drama and too many feelings involved for them to focus on the teams/players imo. Go to a place where you want your kids to succeed and be happy.

I have no idea how big VYS/McLean are. But GFR has three teams at almost every age group (boys and girls). There are a few ages with 4/5 teams and a few with 2.

Or someone who called themself a coach. But.....If you think you're going to find a club without coaches who yell, please let us know where you find this unicorn.

I definitely wouldn't base any decisions on anything some random said on this forum. It could be a coach or could have been literally anyone. It's good to see varying opinions on places like this but you will never know how it will be for your kid. Some parents on our team like GFR some want to move on but they experienced it firsthand... this soccer board is the last place to get real info from because u never know what is true or not It's pure entertainment and time filler for me

I’ve learned to compartmentalize all this drama and stay focused on the team, teammates and parents. I like our team a lot and am not going to let some backroom drama dictate my choice to stay. Every single club has a thread about what a disaster they are with parents, coaches etc arguing. And even if they don’t, I assure you there is drama everywhere.

Fair enough. Have some lingering hatred for aggressive coaches after experiences at past clubs and I might be taking it out on this club haha. I’ll follow my DD’s lead though to see if she wants to keep going. Note to self that anonymous blogs are not the best source of information lol!
