The President of the United States, is not only a vulgar racist, but a blatant liar.
aw... give him a break. He has dementia. He doesn't remember saying it.
They need to up the staffing on the adult daycare. And the GOP quacks guarding him need to figure out when they are negligent for not calling for the 25th amendment to be utilized.
Maybe he was feeling cranky because he didn't have enough nap time, I mean Executive time?
as of a minute ago FoxNews (the website) has stuff on tweets denying he said it, but not yet anything on Durbin confirming it. The article then goes into the details of immigration policy.
That seems to be the strategy, to focus on the actual immigration questions, and avoid the clear evidence of the President's emotional and mental deterioration.

Would make sense, because isn't his physical scheduled for today? I wonder if he's hoping everyone will forget about that.

The news didn’t get out until late afternoon, but the meeting when this occurred was mid-morning. Probably his first meeting of the day, or second after the PDB.

I won’t forget, because I live around the corner from Walter Reed and it can be a traffic nightmare when any POTUS visits.

"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same…
Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset… Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia…
In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think… The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs."
You know who said that? Ted Kennedy in his arguments for the 1965 immigration bill.
Every one of those statements is false, except perhaps standards of admission.

A dipshit I know posts stupid shit on the internet.
I'm just the messenger. I will tell the Norwegian you called him/her a dipshit.
I'm another poster calling your alleged Norweigian friend a dipshit. Half of my dad's family is from Norway and your friend is uninformed.
And so now you must know what it's like to be called lazy and a freeloader.
No, but you must know what it's like to be called a liar. Something tells me it's not your first time.
Nope, that's what the person said. Like I said, I'm just the messenger. BTW, the person voted for Trump.
I seriously doubt all of this, including that "the person" is your friend. On the off chance you actually do know such a person, I'd start fact-checking anything else they tell you.
you can doubt it all you want... I know it doesn't fit with your paradigm, but it still doesn't make it false.
Before the oil boom, when Norway was mostly poor and largely isolated, the country survived on its hard work and self-reliance, two stalwart Scandinavian virtues.
Now, with the country still bulging from three decades of oil money, Norway is discovering that sudden wealth does not come without complications: The country's bedrock work ethic is caving in. Like the overindulged children of newly minted millionaires, Norwegians now stay home from work at a rate that is the highest in Europe, outdoing even the former titleholder, Sweden.
''We have become a nation of whiners,'' said Finn Bergesen Jr., director general of the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industry, Norway's largest business trade organization. ''Everything is wrong, yet we are living in the best country in the world. People complain and complain -- because we have everything.''
Repeated efforts in Parliament to scale back benefits -- on hold while the voluntary measures are tried -- are seen by labor leaders as an attack on workers' rights.
What?! Fake news! The Norwegians have the greatest work ethic ever
So fake that even local Norwegian news sites are reporting similar things:
”Young Norwegians are lazy. The work ethic here is different than in our neighbouring countries,” Sharif told the newspaper.
He referred specifically to a trend that has emerged in recent years of young Swedes crossing the border in their thousands, lured by more attractive pay packets in oil-rich Norway.
Sharif said his friends in the restaurant business generally viewed the young Swedes as much better workers than their domestic counterparts.
”There’s a reason the Swedes get the jobs. I often hear from my network in the restaurant sector that they prioritize Swedes in the application process.”
Sharif’s assessment of the problem was echoed by Trond Mohn, a veteran industrialist and one of Norway’s wealthiest individuals, who told the newspaper it was unheard of three decades ago for anybody under the age of 30 to enter an early retirement scheme.
Concerned for the country's future, the billionaire Mohn said parents needed to set a stronger example at home if they were to inspire a crop of young Norwegians often lacking in motivation.
”Some have become mounds of flesh. They sit around with four bags of crisps and dip, looking at their iPads,” he told Dagens Næringsliv.
The state [Norway] is undermining the work ethic: most people enjoy a 37-hour working week, and three-day weekends are common. In 2011 Norway spent 3.9% of GDP on incapacity benefits and early retirement, compared with an OECD average of 2.2%. Norwegians have coined a verb, to “nav”, meaning to get money from NAV, the state benefits agency.
Did you read the comments on the second article? People who actually live and work in Norway did away with most of the talking points. In any case, if your articles paint an accurate picture and Norway is full of lazy workers and people on the dole, why would Trump still want them to come here? Nevermind, I know the answer.
