Australia has its own maga infection, though it’s a much more minor case.

It helps people stay within bounds of common sense. It’s not normal when pre teens can get gender therapy. I’ll take “maga infection” that doesn’t allow it

It’s not up to you to decide what’s normal. The fact that someone would even let that be in their top 50 reasons to support this administration would certainly make one an idiot when there are so many real concerns out there.

First, I don’t support this administration.
I simply refuse to panic because what’s the point?
Second, kids need to be protected from abusive parents who think if a girl wants briefly to be a boy she needs puberty blockers.

Better hope your kid won’t be gay, disabled, or elderly at some point during their life.

As someone whose parents taught me this, and sent me to private school so I wouldn't be near any "DEI" kids, it was quite a rude awakening when I developed an autoimmune disease and became disabled.

I am not sure I understand.
Haven’t disabled people been treated well thus far?

Who do you think receives the Medicaid they are gutting? RFK wants to ban psychiatric medications.

No I mean the PP understood something way before Trump, not now.

And he wants work camps for people with ADHD and addictions.

And to “re parent” black children.

He, however, took heroin for his ADHD. WHO would trust him????

A lot of kids could use re parenting.

As a parent of a gay young adult, I am terrified that the US under the White Christian nationalist agenda will return us to those days.

This is of course terrible. There just needs to be equality - no preference but also no discrimination for LGBTQ

This +100. Although PPs are both misusing the term "normal" -- neither is "normal/abnormal" but rather....the issue most people have is that it is not nor should it ever be the "norm" for pre-teens to get gender therapy. Sure...there will always be exceptions - where it might be necessary for a pre-teen to get gender therapy (e.g., those who are intersex) -- but that is a rare exception and should not be the "norm" -- meaning it should not be normalized and turned into something popular to do.

What's wrong with work camps?
While wrong to single out "black children" - what's wrong with re-parenting? We require training and licenses for so many things -- but no license to become a parent....leading to many children who lack adequate parenting.
