No clear safeties. Breakthrough is a good bet but not Spanish. Do you have Cleveland? Tyler?

Eckington, PK3:

Mundo Verde
YY
Stokes French
Stokes Spanish
Two Rivers 4th
ITS
CMI
Cleveland Spanish even though we won't get in
Lee
Langley (IB).

If we match with Lee and they announce an undesirable location, we may try to Round 2 into Langley anyway.

Yes that's what I meant, thanks though. I guess there's no Round 2, and what was called Round 3 last year is now "post-lottery application". Seems basically the same, but without the Round 2 deadline, so I guess this is better for those who act quickly.

I thought you could only reenter if you didn't match. My list would be slightly different had I known (similarly based on location decisions)

From the MySchoolDC FAQ:

What can I do if I no longer want my child to attend a school I selected and was matched to?

If you don’t want your child to attend the school where he or she is matched, contact the school so they can offer the space to someone else. Declining the match will not affect your waitlist positions at other schools. You may apply to additional schools in the post-lottery application period, as well as schools that you previously applied to but were not waitlisted at.

Let me reassure you (again). Lee WILL NOT announce a location change for 2017. They WILL be at the same location in a different part of the building. Still, if you're not that interested in Montessori (and I'm guessing you're not as it's at the bottom of your list) you may prefer Langley. I've heard great things and the principal is very impressive. Good luck!

Oops, obviously I meant to say 2016, not 2017. A location change in 2017 is very likely.

Just because she has Lee at the bottom doesn't mean she's not interested in Montessori. Maybe she just prefers the other schools a little more. Lee booster, not everyone has to have Lee at #1 no matter how much you insist. It has only been open one year.
