What did you last confess in confession?

I haven't been in years. I know the priest will guide me. Just curious about the undramatic sins in your life. For me, laziness and anger.

I don't think laziness is a sin to confess? I haven't been in years either, but I would confess that I have been way too unkind to my family. Mostly my husband. I need to work on that. And I've been short with my kids. Unkind thoughts about my coworkers.

Not honoring my mother and father. Still guilty of that particular sin. I'm working on it.

But if you confess it, then you're absovled of it and have a clean soul -- until you commit that sin again, and go to confession again.

talking back to my mother -- but that was a long time ago.

I confessed that I don't attend mass regularly.
- that I disagree with the church and doubt my faith
- that I sometime envy others for material possessions
- that I am sometimes not as nice to people as I could be

eh, you have to be sincerely regretful and sincerely wanting to change. And God will know the difference so don't try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes or then you will be a wolf.

I confessed that I wasn't nice to my sister. It weighs on my heart. We're polar opposites. I live a great life and have been very lucky and I should be nicer to her.

Swearing, premarital sex, speeding, being lazy, being angry often, having mean thoughts. you can google guides to help you really think about your sins and behavior you want forgiveness for.

Does anyone know, in this year of mercy, if you can confess anything?

I'm sure you do. I was responding to the person who commented that now all you have to do is confess and you will be absolved. As you know, it is not that simple.

Doubt is not a sin, Jesus doubted his father in the garden before he was arrested.

You can google "examination of the conscience" for help on what to do before you go to confession.

Here is the 1st link that came up for me and looked nice. http://diopitt.org/short-guide-confession-sacrament-reconciliation-0

You can see there is a link for "married couples" "Young adults" etc.
