Is your name Mary and is hers Edith? |
but people re-commit the same sins a lot. It's human nature. God will forgive Catholics who go to confession and receive absolution |
+1 Doubt is fine. It's normal to doubt. It's only a sin if your doubt turns into disbelief. |
Absolutely that happens. But God knows the difference between mere words and sincerely wanting in your heart to change. |
| As usual I confessed to being challenged to be more patient with others and not so judgmental. Then I confessed my disappointment at the end of my fertility and how it made me have some hard feelings toward, I don't know, Life, God, Fate. Whatever. |
| I'm not Catholic but I would love to confess to someone who could absolve me. |
YOu could convert. Unlike the Jewish faith, Cathollcs are very open to converts |
That would be Jesus Christ. Pray to Him, and He will forgive you and give you eternal life. John 3:16 |
| That I had sex with my neighbor because he might be my soul mate. |
what luck that your sould mate lives nearby. Maybe he's heaven-sent |
| Don't laugh-but there is a confession app that is actually quite useful. It guide you through an examination of conscience and really helps you think of things you may not have thought of before. I really like it because it makes me think of my actions in different ways as to whether I am justifying behaviors to make them seem OK when it is actually something I should be looking deeper to try to change in myself. |
do it count for goin to confession or do you need an absolution app for that? |
DoES it count for goinG..... |
Last time I went to confession, I confessed about "talking back to my mother, etc." and the priest asked now that I am older did I have more serious things to confess? I then told him about the identical twin sisters and the large farm animals! |
Absolutely not. It's like a study guide for those waiting help. A priest will help with the rest. It's a great time to think about confession because most churches are having extra opportunities during the Lenten season. |
