Political Discussion
You live in a world of your own invention. Who would you legally proceed against, dummy? Anonymous posters? Americans don’t care if your heroes are members of a foreign military. No one owes them allegiance. |
There's something profoundly wrong with your moral compass that you equate the massively disproportionate (and frankly vicious) response by Israel every time the Palestinians lash out because they've been living lives of brutal subjugation for the past 75 years as merely a right to "fight back". I guess it's par for the course because you believe in an Old Testament god who was brutal and vicious, but still. "Fighting back" with F-22s and 2,000 pound bombs and white phosphorous munitions against refugees? There's nothing a bit more proportional, say 5x more destructive of a response instead of 25x (and growing)? Everyone can condemn the Hamas attack and support an Israeli response, but this disproportional of a response? Have we learned nothing from past wars? Ultimately, it's just a conga line of provoke, provoke, and provoke some more with the abuses that have become a Palestinian's daily existence over the past 75 years. They live lives of misery on the soil their families have occupied forever, enduring a parade of procedural abuses masquerading in the minds of the Zionist crowd as mere "inconveniences" at this point. Then, when they fight back, everyone is expected to act stunned? It's bizarre to see this dissonance in action. Why are we squawking about terrorism when that's the only card the people you subjugate are left to play? Do you seriously expect every one of them to just give up without a fight, no matter how hopeless? What a bizarre misunderstanding of humankind. And unfortunately, their "fighting back" will never end. After all, "fighting back" is a two-way street. And this particular street will remain bloody until there's a reckoning for what has happened over the past century in that region. Of that, we can be certain. |
With all their brutality, Hamas has shown no interest in targeting Jews outside of Israel. |
Bullcrap. Some of these protestors are carrying Hamas flags and chanting the same rhetoric as the Hamas terrorists. And, we have seen more than enough evidence of people actually praising these less-than-human individuals. |
Ghastly - just ghastly. You don't deserve to call America home, you traitorous sack of trash. There's not an individual in Hamas that's worse than you, based on that post. And that includes the ones who committed horrific attacks on 10/7. That's how bad of a person YOU are. You are worse than the worst Hamas terrorist. Tall order, but you somehow met the challenge. Congrats. |
Baloney. Arrests have been made in three European countries after Hamas plot for terror attacks in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe uncovered, the Mossad and Shin Bet said https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-01-13/ty-article/.premium/hamas-planned-attacks-on-targets-abroad-israeli-agencies-say/0000018d-0432-dd94-a9cd-46fe9dad0000 Danish police nab suspects over alleged Hamas plot against Jewish, Israeli targets https://www.timesofisrael.com/danish-police-nab-suspects-over-alleged-hamas-plot-against-jewish-israeli-targets/ |
DP. Wow. Just wow. I guess you have no clue of what transpired on 10/7. |
DP My friends who attended the protest are centrist types and were definitely just asking for a ceasefire and more humanity towards the Palestinians. There were no doubt a minority of more extreme protestors but it was mostly peaceful and most protestors just want to see a ceasefire and humanitarian support for the many Palestinians civilians suffering from terrible injuries/ loss of homes/ loss of family members and starvation. Especially the many children who are suffering so much. Everyone I know condemns Hamas actions on October 7. But Israel’s disproportionate response is not only inhumane but making Israel less safe in a hostile region. |
And the Palestinian experience is that Israel is committed to killing and destroying them. An endless cycle. |
+1. My experience as well. Sure, there are outliers here and there, but the vast majority of protesters are there because the are horrified by Israel's outsize response. Just look at the photos of Gaza now. How can further bombing be justified? |
That's how oppression works. The oppressor gets to decide when the response no longer fits the "justification", at least until such time that others intervene. And when you have a group who escaped brutal oppression recently and who are led by a vicious, corrupt criminal like Bibi, the outcomes are pretty predictable. There are people here, in this very forum, who will not even blanch in telling you that if Israel says that it must "liquidate" all 2.whatever million people in Gaza to ensure that it has rooted out Hamas, then that's a perfectly fair game response to the 10/7 attacks. And those same people will tell you that Hamas is responsible for every one of those 2.whatever million dead bodies. Do these facts help you understand what we're dealing with when it comes to the Zionist worldview? |
Very fine people at the protest, right? You know the left has lost their minds when they’re parroting Trump’s rhetoric on Charlottesville. |
All arising from the Palestinians’ idiotic decision to reject UN resolution 181. |
Please tell me how you would have responded if the land that your family farmed for generations was granted by UN action to other people. Also, how is it that Israel can pick and choose the UN resolutions to adhere to? |
Back to 181 again. You condemn the U.N. 24/7 for being unfair, except that one time they conceived of a rigged plan that gave you and the other 31% of Zionist people in the region over 60% of the land already occupied by the indigenous people, with all of the critical water supply and natural resource advantages. Again, for the 1,000th time, how would you react if someone showed up in your driveway this evening to announce that your property would be transferred to a group of strangers tomorrow morning? But wait, they also have some great news that you should be thrilled to welcome - you get to keep around 40% of the property for yourself! Not the house part, of course, but some good parts by the curb and a little over near the backyard fence area. And it's not like the strangers are getting ALL the good stuff. They have to take that dry patch of grass over there, too. So it's fair and all, don't worry. Just sign this paper. Good god, you revisionist historians with the 181 tripe. |
