| They have really messed things up. I'm furious. Makes me hate this whole ordeal even more. |
| Why is EVERYTHING at SG so messed up???????????? |
|
They don't have to be competent. I guess doing a bad job doesn't get people fired or reprimanded over there.
That said, I had good luck just showing up. Then stuff was done while I was waiting. |
+1. They are because they can be. |
| TBH, they are a dream to work with as opposed to CCRM. But maybe I've just been in touch with the right financial people. Nancy Paredes has really taken care of DW and me, and our nurse is pretty great too (last nurse at SG not so much though). |
| I've wondered that too. I often got told they would see how much it is after they submit it to insurance for reimbursement. What? Surely they know by now what the rates are!? |
| Is Cleveland still there? I did IVF in 2010 and it was such a mess. I can't understand why esp in a for-profit business these people are still there! |
|
I just had them royally screw up my insurance and insist we are OOP. After calling my insurance no less than five times, I realized that most of our diagnostic testing should have been covered.
The SG person I dealt with was really snooty about it too. People struggling with IF definitely don't need a financial counselor's attitude on top of everything else. |
| They are beyond horrible! That office was a revolving door for 5 months I was there.....I took my embies and left and got a bfp at my next clinic....where I never had a single issue with the financial dept! |
| The SG Rockville was office was terrible! I had one nice contact initially but she left. The rest were vultures. Either didn't return my phone calls or were just plain nasty. |
| 17:16 poster - Cleveland is still there. |
Same thing happened to me. |
| I had a pretty good experience with them. Found it hard to communicate when we were in the planning stages, but once it came time to get the authorizations done, it all happened pretty smoothly. Definitely recommend emailing, not phone/voicemail. |

15:33 here. OP, one thing that helped was complaining to the nurse. For stuff that jeopardizes the start of the treatment she intervened very swiftly. Of course nobody gave a rat's tail about returning my deposit (no biopsy, nothing to freeze or store). It took months.
Overall, I find it very disturbing that people like Cleveland are allowed to do a crappy job on something $ sensitive. I mean what kind of business does that? |
PP here. I'm sorry to hear you had this experience too. Did you figure it out? We were out of pocket for $2k that we didn't need to be. I don't have a ton of confidence in this woman's ability to help us sort this out. |
