Why is SG's financial dept incompetent?

SG K street financial dept was terrible. The person mentioned on this thread never called back or answered emails. I was lucky to get pregnant quickly...or I would never have lasted there.

I have Bettinger at Rockville and I generally find her pretty helpful.

I went through IVF at SG 3 years ago - mostly out of Rockville- but did some monitoring out of K street. Financial Dept in Rockville was great. At the time, I had heard some not so nice things about K street (specifically Cleveland) so I was worried. My insurance company initially turned it down, but once I got them on the phone, they rectified the situation right away and all went well.

How interesting. I am about to start first IVF with them, and I love my doc (Widra) and nurse and all the front desk ladies. But MY LORD the financial people. First, Anita and then Cleveland. My DH and I both thought they were rather useless. My insurance covers nothing but diagnostics, but my nurse told me all that. Getting a full cost for everything so I could figure out financing was ridiculous.

Both Anita and Cleveland are nice people, but yeah. They leave a lot to be desired.

I also have bettinger in Rockville and she's pretty responsive and really great. My plan covers 4 retrievals per lifetime and unlimited FETs. They also cover unlimited ICSI and biopsy. So she was willing to price revert thing out piece meal for me. I really like her.

I love Nancy. I had to go through her when Cleveland screwed up, which was often. He totally sucks @ss.

Its funny - I was cycling at SG in February 2015. I kept trying to reach Cleveland by email and phone message, and his voicemail said "I'm away for Thanksgiving." In February!

Darlene at the Annapolis office is wonderful. Very Knowledgeable and gives good advice for navigating your benefits. Maybe she should hold classes for the rest of em!
