Gym where 14 yo can lift

Anyone have recommendations of a gym in NW DC (near Adams Morgan) where 14 YO DS (not yet in high school, so no school weight room) can lift? I will go and lift with him if that helps.
I've heard horrible things about WSC, which is a drag b/c there is one right near us. |

| Lifetime allows kids 12 and older on the gym floor. Not sure if there's one in DC. |

| Not in NWDC but at least for info: Sport & Health allows preteens and teens in and has special conditioning programs tailored for them as well. We joined one in Bethesda precisely so that our 11yo could use the cardio equipment occasionally. |

| I think kids over 12 are allowed at gold's - there are a couple in NW DC. |

| OP here. I have heard that the staff sign people up for different memberships than they say they will, and that folks have had to resort to disputing ongoing credit card charges when WSC refused to cancel memberships. |

Ah, okay- that actually (sorta) happened to us! We had cancelled the membership when we moved - had paperwork and everything- and then kept getting charged. When the bill came and we called them to sort it out they insisted we hadn't cancelled on time and needed to do another month and/or we had to cancel in person (hard as we'd moved out of state). Kinda makes youwonder why they aren't getting int rouble for this. |
