Johnson has been ordered by Trump to keep Congress closed. Basically Trump has dismissed Congress. Reporters are too scared to report it. Congress is not coming till after the midterms |

There is a way to get rid of Johnson. Nine Republicans, who are fed up with Johnson and disgusted by trump could call for a motion to vacate and then these nine with all Dems could elect a coalition speaker who could actually govern!

Thing is, if the Senate Democrats decided to vote in favor of the CR, it would only keep the government open until 11/21, at which point another CR or budget bill from the House would be required to keep the government open. That's just 3 weeks from now.
Mike Johnson isn't even letting the House work on the next funding crisis. He's keeping the government shut down because he's afraid of an Epstein vote. |
