It was a typo. Which has already been posted. Someone was complaining about the 27s' competition level, so merely pointed out it was the same as the previous year's. The 27s averaged 5-6 gpg. [crying face] |
Is it too late to get in on the lunch order? |
What stands out most to me with the β26 Capital Blue Team is that all of the commits thus far attend private schools. |
Yup that would be because it is the private schools which are coaching these girls at the highest level. I hope your daughter attends a private school or you can kiss her D1 dreams goodbye. |
I thought what mattered most was the club you played for? |
it is - again many private school girls on other clubs not yet recruited and two public school kids on Capital Orange that are going to Colgate and William & Mary |
Lots of public school players in MD and VA go to Division 1 schools every single year. You need a new hobby. |
This is incorrect. What matters most is whether they can play. Once that box is checked, getting seen by coach(es) at schools of interest is next. Various entities can help with this, most definitely club is one of them, but there are myriad ways of doing it. |

ClubLacross.org has a good database of player commitments. For the 2026s, there are 73 girls committed from DC, MD, and VA who have the name of their high school shown in the data currently. Of the 73, there are 61, or 84% of the total, from private schools. |
Now do 2025. Or any other year. |
Let me get right on that after I grab some lunch. Should I pick something up for you? My treat. |
Ham and cheese on rye, mustard, no mayo. Pick up a sleeping bag for yourself. |
A couple of things. Public school lacrosse is bad. Period. Its bad play. There are great players in that league of course, elite players, yes but its no comparision to the IAAM. As stated, club is the key to college. |
