OMG my kids have been out playing in the snow for 4+ hrs

only came in for lunch and a bathroom break. I don't know normally post about this kind of stuff, but I'm just so floored and happy. They normally just want to be on electronics all day, and there's been no tears or fighting. It's a miracle!!!

That "floored" you?

Why would you post this? Aren't you afraid to jinx it??

Just kidding. Good for you OP.

OP here. yes it did because they are not outdoorsy kids. They would rather play inside 99% of the time.

How old are they?

I'd be floored (and happy), too!!

So awesome!!

This is how we grew up in New England. We weren't given a choice of staying in. Our choices were: sledding, skating, playing in the snow. Come in to eat or warm up, then out you go again. So much fun.

Hi, Debbie Downer! Don't rain on OP's parade!

Op here. 10 and 7. And I'm also floored because I haven't heard any fighting and/or crying for 4 hrs straight of them playing together. That alone is a miracle.

I do make them go out and play when the weather is reasonable. But a lot of the time, they do so grudgingly and only so they can get some screen time. Like I said.. they are not outdoorsy kids, and there's too much distractions in the house. So, yea, I'm happy shocked.... I'm hocked.. or hacked or shappy.

Mine are 7 and 3. Can't wait until I am in your shoes, OP. Sounds great!

That's great! My 6 and 4 year old haven't wanted to play in the snow for two days now...I don't blame them but glad some kids are having fun with it.

We barely have playable snow to play in anymore. My kids 5 and 7 stayed out for hours everyday since Saturday. But yesterday it started melting and they couldn't do much with it and today they totally gave up, but we were out riding bikes.

That's awesome. I wish my kids were like this normally.

There's still a lot of snow in our big backyard. Right now, I'd be nervous for my kids to ride their bikes. The snow banks are so tall you can't see over them. Cars pulling out of driveways can't see them on the sidewalk, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with them riding on the roads just yet.

We haven't left the house today, sigh.
