He isn't sick and says he isn't constipated...very out of character bc he was night trained at 3.5 and never had an accident since. Thoughts? Maybe just a bad dream?
Not a big deal at all. It happens.
It happens sometimes and he may be excited/upset/anxious due to the blizzard and change of pace. Let it go.

I wet the bed once when I was about 12. Dreamed I had gotten up to go to the bathroom but...didn't.
If it happens again ask pediatrician. I wouldn't worry about one time. |
Nah. It happens.
Op here- thx!
Honest question: why would you be concerned? Kids wet the bed. Isn't it just what happens? Once in a blue moon seems more than fine.
Op here- he has never wet the bed once- that is why it seems strange.
OP, I understand your concern, but really, it's fine. It happens.
He might be constipated, which is often the likely culprit with older children.
Sometimes kids just don't want to get out of bed b/c it is cold or dark (i.e. scary). When you are 1/2 asleep, you aren't thinking logically.
yeah its normal. like PP said.... may even happen when they are 12..... and sometimes when older, there could be even wet dreams...
I did this too - I was 10. |
My son didn't stay dry at night until 5, but he does have very occasional accidents now, even up to 9 years old. My friend at work said it happens sometimes before a growth spurt, and that does seem to be the case for my son. Sometimes they just sleep so soundly they don't feel their body's signal to wake up and go to the bathroom. If it's only once in a blue moon, not every week or something similar, I wouldn't worry about it.
DH did this once. As an adult. Don't worry about it happening occasionally. |
