My DH commented that his mother always made soup during blizzards and made sure each of her children had a flashlight at night in case the power went out. Are you planning your own tradition or will you follow your mother-in-law's practice? |
My MIL lives in Florida. |
Are you bored ? |
Is your husband not capable of making soup or, at the very least, handing each kid a flashlight himself? |
It's only blizzard-soup and blizzard-flashlights if the mother does it. |
Why would I give a shit what MIL did? Is your husband incapable of making soup and distributing flashlights? He can pass on his traditions. You do what you want! |
???
I have no idea what my MIL did for storm prep. |
haha my MIL is in TX. They didn't have snow. Like ever. |
not sure why but this question is hilarious to me |
My MIL, who lives alone, 5 miles from our house, was too scared to stay at home by herself and came to our house to ride out the storm. Kill me now. |
Seriously, that's the right call. She shouldn't be alone. Have a heart. |
I have no idea. We don't talk about these things. DH and I are both working from home today with two children also at home. We didn't go rushing out to the supermarket, we didn't freak out about driving. We're just doing life, but at home. This is being made into such a bigger deal than it has to be. |
Weird post. |
I have no fucking clue. It's not like Christmas. |
If she's 85, sure. If she's 63? She can nut up and be a grown-up. It's a snowstorm, not the End of Days. Seriously. |
