What does it say ? or , Is it the optional questionnaire that parents needs to fill ?

everyone gets when their son/daughter had nnat/cogat is above 132.. so, is it guaranteed that he/she is in AAP ?

You only need to worry about it if your child is in 2nd grade.

In pool just means your child will automatically be considered without you having to refer. It doesn't mean the child is guaranteed to be found eligible. The committee looks at the scores on the NNAT and CogAT, as well as the GBRS and commentary provided by the school. I believe final decisions will be sent out in April. Of course the higher the in pool score, the more likely the child will be found eligible.

Good scores help, but I think school/teacher recommendations weight a lot too.

I've known smart but disruptive kids got into the pool but didn't get into the program. So start asking your child to raise his/her hand before speaking out

Contact School my friend.
The School also just don't want to spend resources on evaluating kids with low scores. Where there is a Cutoff. they should shed some light as to what scores kids can submit referrals.
Say less than 128 cannot submit referrals. That's fine. but there is no clarity. they need to be more clear.

In the box at the top of the screen:

Screening information and deadlines for the 2015-16 school year have been posted.

Please note: The spring referral deadline will be January 15, 2016. A referral may be submitted any date from September 8 through January 15 to the AART at your local school. No late submissions will be accepted.

Anyone can submit referrals, and there are many kids who may perform poorly on the COGAT and NNAT but have an extremely high WISC who will get in on that basis.

I don't think the schools need to set cutoffs, but I do think the schools should provide some feedback on whether they think a parent should refer a particular kid, based on their observations of the kid in school. It seems that some schools do this. Our school does not. The staff (both teachers and AART) seem to be under some kind of a gag order from the principal that prohibits them from giving any indication of whether a kid would be right for AAP or whether the school will support the kid's candidacy (in the form of a helpful GBRS and commentary). It is just counterproductive in my view.

Both NNAT and COGAT above cutoff , but no pool letter or whatever that is.. We just got the standard optional referral questionnaire with COGAT scores in white envelope from school..

The parent questionnaire and the referral forms are different, with the former also being for use by those in pool. You may actually be in the pool and they just left out that sheet. A call to the AART should clear it up.
