$64,000 per refugee to relocate them to the US?

Has anyone else read this? I don't think this is fair for us to be able to come up with money to pay $64,000 per refugee to relocate them to the US when we have so many homeless families and Vets here already and so many poor people here already struggling to eat. Does anyone else agree with this?

I agree.
“Economic refugee” has become the new term for illegal immigrant much like “investing” means “spending” and “increase in revenue” means “increase in taxes.”
It amazes me how this administration has come up with so. many. euphemisms.

Have some empathy that you or your family members could be in that situation and you'd want someone to help you? Our "homeless" and vets are far better taken care of than most. Our poor get food stamps and benefits - its the working that really need the help as they do not make enough to live on but too much for benefits. Yes, we need to do more to help in the US but that would mean major government overhauls to accomplish it and no one is willing to put the time or money into doing it properly. I'm all for bring some of the refugees over.

Disgraceful. We have families in need right here

They come here and contribute back to our economy. Most of them are educated and employable.

I see no problem with this at all.

I do have empathy for the refugees and have contributed $ to help them. Have you? I feel we can help them best by getting their country back where they can live there peacefully. If we continue to take on helping everyone but our own, the US will decline even more and then we won't be able to help anyone in the world.

I would rather help the refugees than the illegals immigrants from the south.

What makes absolutely no sense to me is to do this while at the same time breaking families who have been peacefully among us for years, especially when deporting the parents of American children.

President Obama has been a huge disappointment to many of us, and his anti-Latino policies will be remembered

What country? Their country are destroyed.

Tell that to my friends with very educated children that can't find employment. They will be thrilled to know we are paying people from other countries to come here and take jobs that they may have had.

I wouldn't mind so much if we weren't spending so much fighting for their country. I think if we take all the educated refugees, what hope will their country have of getting back on it's feet?

The deportation is because of their illegal status. I think it cost US more to funds the illegals immigrants than the refugees. The ROI is better for refugees. In short term, they can work in better paying jobs, instead of living on foods stamps etc.

Give refugees the chance to stabilize themselves in US, then they can go back to home country when they have money.
