Yeah, you are so right. Would much rather get tons of playing time at Florida Atlantic than a degree from Yale/Michigan/Notre Dame/Dartmouth etc. |
They don’t care. A good college is the prize. |
Can you clarify what you mean in terms of the ‘25s and “what that high ranked team wasn’t able to do”? The Cap Blue ‘25s had one of the best recruiting classes in the country: -UNC -ND -Michigan -Florida x2 -Duke x2 -Johns Hopkins x2 -Denver -Vanderbilt -Stanford -VA Tech -Colorado -Dartmouth -Holy Cross -Marquette -Cincinnati -Navy -FSU -AZ State So? As for the ‘26s, you imply that having 15-17 uncommitted is an issue one week into the period. Actually, having 5 strong commitments that fast is what’s unusual. Most of the Inside Lacrosse Top 10 haven’t committed yet, much less the 4 and 5-stars, so your implication is just wrong. Check back in November to assess how a club’s class did overall. Bottom line, your post is either uniformed or trolling. |
I've heard great things about the Owls club lacrosse team |
I’m sure the Owls are a fine team. |
I am hearing about lots of full scholarships being offered to Cap Blue players, but the players are looking for the most academically prestigious schools. I have heard that most of them do not prioritize the lacrosse ranking. They are not majoring in lacrosse, and most of them do not have plans to play professional lacrosse. At these highly academic institutions, players must meet the academic index, so they not only need to excel in lacrosse but also needthe grades to meet the academic index. If you are a highly skilled player but have low grades you will need to cast a wider net since there are too many skilled players with really high grades that will take the spot! Grades are really, really important and open the door for your player. I cannot stress that enough. I am hearing this cap blue 2026 team has one of the highest GPA of the 2026 class-- the committs so far reflect it. |
A one year detour before the majority try out for Capital next year. |
Interesting that you commented on this post, but not the one it commented on that stated Cap was the place to be recruited for top academics based on a different group of players. |
Yeah. That happens all the time to Pride Red. They just wanted to make more friends. |
Left the team now? |
The M&D 2030 team will have a better recruiting class than Capital Blue, M&D Black, and Hero’s Green. Mark it down. |
Because at least there is some empirical evidence to support the high GPAs of some of the 2026s (Yale, Michigan, Dartmouth). Unless you have hacked into these ‘28s 8th grade grades you have no basis for your moronic statement. |
You don't seem to be following along close enough. The poster (you?) alluded to past players making it to top academics as a reason to believe that's the place future classes should look in order to get that. Meanwhile, it's different sets of players. So pulling that conclusion is faulty. And for what it's worth, people talk. |
I heard from my daughter that one of the Capital Blue players was unhappy with her grade on her first math quiz. Not getting off to a good start for Capital! |
Pride has been in a free fall since the 26’s left for Capital. |
