I just saw the 28 Coppermine roster. 10 girls left the team. Anybody know what happened to that team?
1 middie to hero’s 5 players to M&D 1 to FCA 1 moved They still have a solid core of middies and attack and will do fine.
Good for these girls! Just another example of how girls know that when you get to high school you move to a team with a recruiting history!
I don't know why those girls left but I doubt it was because of "recruiting history".
You don't think girls went to M&D or Hero's to get recruited?
Hero’s has probably the best lacrosse program in the country in terms of on field success at the moment. The recruiting history tells another tale though in terms of attracting the top academic schools consistently. M&D has a better history but will be interesting to see how ‘27- ‘29 play out. I agree with the PP that Capital is the place to get recruited for top academics.
Hearing the Cap '27s and '28s don't have the same academic profile. It'll be interesting to see whether W lax can get Cap the spots at top academics without it.
How could you possibly know the academic profiles of the Capital players? Did you assess this also while watching practice from the slanted roof?
Interesting that you commented on this post, but not the one it commented on that stated Cap was the place to be recruited for top academics based on a different group of players.
Because at least there is some empirical evidence to support the high GPAs of some of the 2026s (Yale, Michigan, Dartmouth). Unless you have hacked into these ‘28s 8th grade grades you have no basis for your moronic statement.
You don't seem to be following along close enough. The poster (you?) alluded to past players making it to top academics as a reason to believe that's the place future classes should look in order to get that. Meanwhile, it's different sets of players. So pulling that conclusion is faulty. And for what it's worth, people talk.
I heard from my daughter that one of the Capital Blue players was unhappy with her grade on her first math quiz. Not getting off to a good start for Capital!
