I had no idea who she was until this hit the fan. But I agree that she handled her statement with class. Good for her.

She won Best Actress a few years back. I guess because she's French she still hasn't translated to American audiences.

You mean American audiences who don't watch foreign films, or films with subtitles, or films that are in English (yeah, she's done those too)... ?

Pretty much. Americans are self-centered. I think she's a great actress though and Allied looks interesting but I don't care for WWII films.

Clearly not all of us are... way to stereotype. We're not all ignorant cartoon-watching buffoons.

Yes, I did that on purpose, before any cartoon folk take offense..

She was in Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Contagion, among others. These are regular American movies, in English, blockbusters in theaters.

That's nice but again most people don't know who she is even though she's an Best Actress Oscar winner. But Americans sure know Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock.

Positive. I'm PP, American, and I watch real movies.

I knew it. And I'm so glad and relieved she said something. I figured if an affair were untrue, she would just say something. And she did.

Disgusting how the Allied (or Allies?) marketing pushed a new trailer today. Taking advantage of the press, huh.

It might have already been in the works. The divorce is out of nowhere; apparently Brad found out the day she filed.

I doubt that he didn't know. I bet he did.

There is a picture of Brad and Angie's brother at a park with the three biological kids. This was the day before she filed. Makes me wonder if she is making him have "supervised visits"?

The latest from TMZ: http://m.tmz.com/#article/2016/09/22/brad-pitt-child-abuse-investigation/

Brad supposedly got drunk and went berserk on a flight recently. Someone called CPS and said he was abusive to the children.

Anonymous wrote:Aww, poor Ang.

She's aging rapidly, dealing with raging mood swings thanks to early menopause, and acting crazy. Sounds like she was irrationally jealous of everyone: the nanny, Marion, and Selena Gomez FFS!

She's gone off the rails and destroyed her family. Those poor kids. Brad is the only source of normalcy in their lives.

She will go down in history as the next Mommy Dearest.

Amazing how you've blamed Angie for everything. Right down to shaming her for the mastectomy. You're gross.

She's crazy. That's her track record. She will continue to drag those poor kids around the world, and now they won't have their father around to run interference. He might be too mellow (or simple, as JA put it), but at least he's not crazy. Ang had a bad childhood, issues with her father, issues with men, and has been called cold and detached. Everything the OP quoted here makes sense. Accusing your spouse of cheating with every female they encounter isn't normal. And the real kicker: blindsiding your spouse with divorce papers AND fueling media stories about him being a bad parent is despicable. This is not a victim of someone to feel sorry for; that lady is crazy.

It is interesting how different their childhoods were. Angelina was the daughter of Hollywood parents, who separated the year after she was born. She was estranged from her father for years. Brad grew up in Missouri and by all accounts had a typical American childhood. His Midwestern parents remain married to this day, and he appears to be close to them.
