Maybe they just want out of VYS and don't want to drive far to a superior club like loudoun or bethesda... CYA has some good and bad eggs just like VYS. Why attack their club? Guess that is a board members job!

Several pages back I urged the VYS community to let this thread die but, to my delight, they just can't let it go.

VYS is a train wreck and this thread is testament to that.

I don't think VYS is a trainwreck at all, but some of the parents are, without a doubt. And like many keep pointing out: there are trainwreck crazies at every club.

How many of those other club train wreck crazies have a forum thread dedicated to their club's troubles? How many pages is this nonsense going on and none of your parents can just stop posting. ive suggested it, begged for it, but you are all so full of your first world soccer drama that you just can't help yourselves. You are, without a doubt, the worst.

Clean up your house, and it should start with telling your parents to just STFU online.

A lot of this thread has been productive. A lot has actually drifted onto other clubs. But nooooo ... YOU always have to come back and make it worse.

You want me to STFU? One of two ways. Let this thread die, or be positive about soccer and the process. The obsession and vile for a club that is trotted out here is crazy. Just leave the club. Don't go away mad, just go away. It is soccer, it isn't your mission to either save the club or to save people from joining a club.

There is a lot of positivity here.

Much of the negativity isn't from current VYS people. It's from a disgruntled former coach, a disgruntled former board member and the occasional departing parent. Why do you blame VYS and its parents for that?

I do not think it would be helpful for Vienna or any other club to tell parents anything that suggests they plan to act as a censor and monitor online posting. It seems paranoid and vindictive. You seem like you are perhaps just not very familiar with the internet and how discussion boards work? Those of us who are are able to draw our own conclusions about which posters here are reliable narrators, and there seem to be several, including 19:01 from yesterday.

There are plenty of threads about other soccer clubs here, though NOVA in general seems to have more people posting and following DCUM than some of the other DC suburbs. Back in the great days when Potomac Soccer Wire had forums instead of the boring article comment format it moved to, you would have seen lots of posts bashing other clubs, including the Maryland ones. And McLean had a long and fascinating run on Fairfax Underground before the leadership changes that happened a year or so ago.

Travel team coaches were announced prior to sending out invite letters. That way parents can decide if they like a particular coach. That's an improvement.

Although "letting it play out on the field" puts all the pressure on a bunch of kids who didn't create the situation.

I suggest making the parents do sprints.

My kid says he will 'show no mercy'. It ain't t my revenge to play out, but that little kid has been through so much shit if he feels the need to go kick them in the balls when he plays them in the next tournament--I'm not standing in his way.

Revenge=proving them wrong.

Like when my National player sibling didn't list his home club in his creds because they spent years fucking with him.

Doing well and exceeding in adversity is grit with a healthy dose of fuck you.

Entitled is when you don't train and don't put in the work and expect things to go your way.
