So let’s play a fun game. You can name anyone except for a player from your team

Spring is in the air and it’s time for a new fishing buddy!

Aw, do you want to be my new friend?

And yes, it is early. So sorry for trying to have a LACROSSE conversation on here

Then talk about teams/games/results etc. But singling out players after 2 games for END OF SEASON awards is lame.

Disagree! Keeps ppl engaged all year like the Tewaaraton and Heisman watch lists. Question is how to keep it objective, so we don't end up like the FSR Coach-Dads fiasco from last year.

Then you have your answer. Just look at who is returning from last year's all-state and all-region teams for your starting list.

That was talked about a few weeks back and that's where the questions surrounding the all-state team. I think what folks are looking to add are some of the standouts. Here's what I recall from the earlier threads. Feel free to add if I missed some

- Madison Attacker (two were mentioned, but not sure if they're referring to the same player)
- BF Goalie and Mid, but someone said the whole team, typical BF lol
- Langley Mid and Attacker
- Oakton Attacker
- Woodson Mid and Attacker
- Robo Attack

There were go. Great list on who has started out strong so far.

Westfield goalie doesn’t always get a ton of help, but she makes a ton of plays. Record will hurt her chances, but her play is fabulous

Cosby Mid is solid from what I have seen in the past, but they haven’t been challenged at all yet

That’s all I have for now

10 seconds with Google. 13-3 PVI. Lightridge was overrated based on Battlefield and PVI's sizable wins.

Yes, sadly I do have to agree with this. However, rust didn’t mean that they won’t go far in the playoffs at 5A

Lightridge isn't overrated, both BF and PVI are very good teams.

But the games weren’t even close. 17-5 and 13-4. That is more indicative of them being overrated than just a loss to a good team.

Not sure anyone thought Lightridge (other than maybe Lightridge) was going to be "Great" this year so don't think the overrated tag is warranted.

Can we all agree now that BF may drop a game along the way, but will be holding the state championship trophy in June. Clearly Madison will be there too, but who else has a legitimate shot. Still early, but I don’t see any one else competing at that level.

I am a BF parent and I definitely don’t agree with this. There are no guarantees with anything. One injury could derail everything. So no, I don’t agree with that because the season is long and there are still some good teams out there. They need to still get out on the field and grind

Maybe Lightridge is trying new things early in the season. Or you could be negative and strike down teams based on your non lacrosse knowledge.

A couple things

I know Lightridge coach very well and they tied man agains BF. Didn’t work. They will settle back n to their zone D and be fine in 5A. They still have games with Madison Robo Langley and SSSA. Let’s see if they improve game by game. My take is they will.

BF has a couple of good teams left on schedule with Cosby being last game coming out flat and an injury only reason maybe they lose 1+ game. Still my pick to win it.

Is this the year an Underclassmen wins POY. Lots of candidates could happen.

WF goalie is a baller for sure. Don't know about the Cosby Mid. I believe someone gave a shoutout to Chantilly Mid too. Adding, updated...

Underclassman as POY!?!? Possible, but unlikely. So far it's a two-horse race with BF and Madison favored to win it all. I'd argue that their best players are both upperclassmen. Madison Attacker and BF Goalie.

At this point in the year, I would agree with this

And yes, I forgot about the Chantilly middie. Record of the team might hurt her chances, but she is very strong

Madison attacker didn’t have a POY game against BF. Freshman #19 best player for them that day.
Anonymous
I would put 3 BF sophmores up against any upper class in 6A. They have played and en against a tough schedule and contribute at a high level. Remember, Battlefield starts 1 senior 1 junior 7 soph and 3 freshman. Yes I probably sound like a homer right now but like I see it. And no, I don’t have a daughter on the team.
