Mason released its EA results. DS got into the honors college.

This was EA. The website info said that decisions weren't due until Jan 15, but after I saw posts here I made him check the portal. He didn't get an email until next day, so sometimes the portal is a step ahead! Fwiw he applied just before the EA deadline on November 1.

DS applied EA to a SLAC on 11/1 and heard back before TG, then got his packet with admission letter and a very generous merit award. Normally the school notifies in early January, but guessing they liked the profile and wanted him. I had heard of this but didn't expect it would happen to one of my DCs.

Congratulations! DS applied EA but not Honors and just received his GMU acceptance.

I guess at the same time. DS texted me. I did not see the actual information yet. Scholarship info was released too. He got some money too.

That will be tough. NC State schools like App reserve 80% of spot o in state. It’s why UNC a is so hard to get into. My SIL went to App (many years ago) and it’s a beautiful campus.

A CTCL. I know another applicant from a different part of country who has not yet heard.
