Blake Lively- Jason Baldoni and NYT - False Light claims

Anonymous
Well she was big! Look at those pics! Probably not the best thing for him to say, but she was big. She’s a big girl!

And look now, yep she complained to Sony per Reddit (which has been right about a lot of this). But her complaints were about..,Covid protocols and no harassment.

Or at least that’s my interpretation of what I am reading. Could be false, but that’s what I see.

HR mentions in BL complaint (without repetitions)

By this time, individuals at TAG, Ms. Nathan, and Ms. Abel were aware of the existence of complaints that were made regarding the on-set behavior of Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath, and sought clarity as to the specific HR complaints at issue in order to better counter them in the press.

During the same period of time, when media sources inquired about HR complaints that were made on the set of the Film, Ms. Nathan, Ms. Abel, and their teams worked to suppress coverage of these HR complaints

On July 29, 2024, Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Abel discussed a proposal to get ahead of any potential publicity regarding Ms. Lively’s HR complaints against him with a “social and digital” combat plan.

On August 15, 2024, Ms. Nathan remarked that “this went so well . . . It was genius. So okay, we have the four majors standing down on HR complaint.”

Ms. Lively and others suspected that the extraordinarily rapid shift in public sentiment and press coverage that began on the day of the Film’s release was likely orchestrated by the men about whom Ms. Lively and others had raised HR complaints
Wayfarer, Mr. Baldoni, and Mr. Heath received or were aware of a number of HR grievances regarding their conduct. They admitted as much from day one. For example, on the first day of filming, while attempting to hug Ms. Lively’s employee, Mr. Heath said “I don’t even know if we’re allowed to do this. It’s day one and we have an HR report already.”

In that conversation with Ms. Gianetti on May 26, 2023, Ms. Lively told her that she wanted to file an HR complaint about both Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath’s misconduct. Although she was sympathetic, Ms. Gianetti told Ms. Lively that Sony, as the distributor of the film, was not empowered to oversee physical production, which included Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath’s behavior on set, and that such concerns must be raised with Wayfarer, the studio responsible for the production. Ms. Lively was concerned with this response because Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath were the Chairman and CEO of Wayfarer, and Mr. Baldoni was the Director of the Film. Ms. Lively did not believe that either Mr. Baldoni or Mr. Heath would investigate their own alleged misconduct—and that disbelief was proven by subsequent events

After unsuccessfully attempting to raise concerns with Sony, Ms. Lively expressly told Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath that there were serious HR problems on set. Mr. Heath responded that they knew, implying that someone had mentioned to them that Ms. Lively had raised concerns.

The Wayfarer Parties ignored their legal mandate to conduct an investigation in 2023, when they indisputably became aware of multiple HR complaints, and their cynical attempt to launch a rigged “investigation” now makes a mockery of their legal obligations
And also, most critically, the supposed master plan they absurdly accuse Ms. Lively of would rely on the hope that Wayfarer would never in that 1.5 year process launch an HR investigation to clear their “innocent” names, but instead allow their film to be “stolen” from them.

Defendants It Ends With Us Movie LLC and Wayfarer, through Defendants Baldoni and Heath, perpetuated this environment by failing to create a workplace in which individuals felt comfortable raising concerns regarding harassing and other inappropriate behavior on set, including in Wayfarer’s failure to provide Ms. Lively with an employee handbook… as well as information about the process for filing HR complaints, and comments by Defendants Baldoni and Heath undermining HR concerns

…including because they knew that Ms. Lively reported the same claims she has raised in this Complaint (i.e., sexual harassment and other HR claims) during the shooting of the Film, which Wayfarer acknowledged

Oh come on. Justin fat shamed her by adjusting the lighting and changing the shot angle. He also "fat shamed" by offering plain coffee instead of a mocha latte, the implication being that fat cow Blake did not need the whipped cream and sugar. He lives to fat shame the stars of his films because making them feel like crap contributes to their performance.

Uh, no, he fat shamed her by asking her trainer to disclose her weight and complaining how she looked in her costumes.

Next it will be Justin's fault that Blake looked like ass in costumes she "designed." He harrassed her by omission. Is that a thing? Then he went home and laughed at her dumb outfits and told Emily she was a diva. Harrassment by omission incoming.

But what I find so strange is that there doesn’t seem to be any evidence that that happened until the January 4 all hands meeting when Ryan screamed at Justin for fat shaming his wife. I’m just not clear, since Blake used her voice throughout this whole production, why that didn’t come up earlier? I mean she had a lot of power at the start of the film. She was the star being paid millions of dollars, she was an executive producer, which I understand is not as powerful as producer, but it is still something. she had control over the wardrobe. So she did have a voice as is clearly referenced, when she wanted the rooftop scene her way she was not afraid to ask and fight for that. And she wanted her wardrobe preferences she was fully able to push back against that. I’m just not sure why they didn’t address that weren’t frankly why she didn’t have her lawyers right in like they did with everything else she had a problem about.

I find it so odd that we’ve not seen one tax or any documentation of the fat shaming. I feel like if it got back to Justin that Blake felt fat shamed, looking at his other behaviors of making apologies for everything, I just don’t understand why there wasn’t a voice note or a text Explaining himself. And I think there isn’t one because it was not a thing until the January 4 meeting - he had no idea what happened because it wasn’t really a thing.

You are not clear. The incident happened in the spring of 2023, Lively and Reynolds found out because the trainer told them that Baldoni had asked. And then Baldoni went to their apartment for a meeting and that's when Reynolds laid into him for it. All of this happened before the movie started filming.

I think people should keep in mind how Lively found out about that incident. Her trainer found the question inappropriate and told Lively and Reynolds because he found it inappropriate. You need to think about what it is like to be famous and have your appearance and weight scrutinized all the time, especially after having a baby. I would bet the trainer actually signed an NDA specifically about Lively's weight and health, because this would be considered valuable information to tabloids and gossip columnists. So from the Lively camp's perspective, this would be considered a big breach, for someone to ask for her weight, specifically, and to not ask directly but to ask someone she employs who might have weighed her for his job. That would be considered sensitive info that shouldn't be spread around.

I know Baldoni has presented this defense that he was asking because of this lift in the script. I honestly have no idea if that's true. It's plausible. But it's still a violation and that's not how he should have gone about it. I think it's odd that, being an actor and director himself and having worked in the business for a while, it wouldn't have occurred to him how inappropriate it would be to ask for that kind of information from her trainer. It would be like asking her housekeeper how much she drinks or asking her nanny how often she and her husband have sex -- gossip fodder that it would be a huge violation for any of those people to disclose.

Also we have no idea how the trainer conveyed this info to Lively and Reynolds. I am certain the trainer felt he had an obligation/duty to tell them and also probably wanted to make sure they knew he'd been asked but had not disclosed, in case Baldoni said anything about it. Baldoni put the trainer in a bad position by asking for that kind of confidential info. It is no surprise to me at all that Lively and Reynolds reacted very strongly.

Fat shaming is telling the actress that her clothes are too tight or don't fit right with the implication that the problem is her weight. This is especially egregious and shaming if done in front of other people.

Fat shaming is not discreetly trying to find out someone's weight in order to avoid injuring the person and yourself. I am sorry it is ridiculous to claim trying to prepare to lift someone is "shaming" them.

Uh, they did tell her that her clothes were unflattering and didn't fit her correctly, after the paparazzi photos of her on the first day of filming came out. Justin and Blake met for over an hour to discuss it and Justin said he was "terrified" to have the meeting and wound up crying in the meeting because it was so awkward to tell Blake that they thought she looked fat in her wardrobe. I'm sure he didn't use that word but it was clearly implied.

Also, he asks her trainer for her weight after multiple texts between them in which she expresses concern about her weight, explains she's trying to lose 20 lb before she feels good about where she's at, assures him that it's really important for her to look good in the movie, and even asks if they can move "body work" to the end of filming so that she can be in shape for it.

The implication of ALL of these conversations was that Lively was too fat and needed to lose weight. Including the one where Justin asked her trainer for her weight.

There is absolutely no proof that that is what took place in the meeting. You are just speculating. Show me any text or emails that Justin was at all concerned about her weight or her appearance. If there were a Blake‘s team would’ve showed them - there is nothing.

Yes she was indeed bigger than she was before. And that's Justin's fault. Get it? Everything is his fault. Blake is nor responsible for anything she says, does, or wears.

It’s too bad that Blake didn’t give her supporters better material to work with.

Weight related content in BLs complaint

He (Baldoni) went out of his way to message criticisms of her age and weight, neither of which she could change during filming. On the second day of filming, for example, Mr. Baldoni made the rest of the cast and crew wait for hours while he cried in Ms. Lively’s dressing room, claiming social media commentators were saying that Ms. Lively looked old and unattractive based on paparazzi photos from the set

A few weeks before filming began and less than four months after Ms. Lively had given birth to her fourth child, Ms. Lively was humiliated to learn that Mr. Baldoni secretly called her fitness trainer without her knowledge or permission, and implied that he wanted her to lose weight in two weeks

When Ms. Lively caught strep throat, Mr. Baldoni offered as a “gift” to connect her with an expert he had on retainer to help her with probiotics and to combat the sickness. When Ms. Lively went to fill out the privacy forms, she saw that the expert was not what Mr. Baldoni had represented her to be, but was instead a weight-loss specialist.

Approximately one minute later, Ms. Abel asserted the “need to position” the claims as “claims that are already out there about the kiss and the weight comment,” referencing earlier public reporting by TMZ on Mr. Baldoni’s “linger[ing]” kiss with Ms. Lively and Mr. Baldoni’s comments regarding Ms. Lively’s weight on set

What’s truly cunning is the level of mind games he was playing. In texts, he wanted her to think that he thought she was not fat, but THEN he actually wanted her to know he really did think she was fat. Diabolical.

Sony is coming out stating that she lied about her original complaints. She never complained about harassment. She had only complained about Covid protocols back last May!! Then she went on to have one on one meetings with heath (breastfeeding thing) and later JB.

In her recent amended complaint, this was the first time that she stated that she went to Sony about being harassed.

They are going to be called upon to testify.

Amazing.

I thought the Covid thing was pretty insane too. It was May 2023. I was incredibly Covid conscious and even I was out and about at that point plus Blake was at about 1 million different events during that time. And how many Taylor Swift concerts did she go to lol- Yeah I’m sure she was super concerned about Covid. That seemed like such a reach.

Fascinating that we have not seen 1 ounce of proof that the person he sent for probiotics for strep had anything to do with weight loss. Any kind of proof on that would be nice anytime you wanna show us Blakey Blake.

He also apparently thought that when Blake received a diet plan from the weight loss specialist (instead of probiotics), she would just shrug and follow the plan to lose weight.

This, maybe time to go back to asserting she was “almost” naked in the birth scene. Only so many ways to beat a dead horse.
