load me up on mindless fluff

I've had some recent major tough times and am spending time regrouping on the sofa. I have been binging on xmas movies - so easy, so happy, so thoughtless (usually I hate them) but I'm pretty sure I'm tapped out there. What next? Shows or movies - equally mindless and generally happy / funny. Usually I like much more interesting tv but can't concentrate enough for it at this time.

I know it's really cheesy, but I love "Survivor." It's mindless, clean fun, but still intriguing enough to keep you interested. And when I'm down, seeing someone else overcome blah blah blah to win a challenge or whatever can be very heartening.

I also love funny stuff like "30 Rock," "Parks & Rec," and anything with Will Farrell in it when I'm down.

Good luck, and here's hoping your regrouping goes well!

A couple half hour comedy shows I have enjoyed in recent years-

Raising Hope
Everybody Hates Chris
30 Rock
Community
Everybody Hates the B in Apt 23

There was an hour long show that might appeal to you that was short lived, but makes a lot of great shows lists:
Pushing Daisies

Hope these help!

I love 16:20's suggestions.

If you want a feel-good series, Anne of Green Gables with Megan Follows is great.

agree with mindless reality shows. survivor, amazing race, even the road rules challenge.

I love these all - thank you! Any movies? Also I loved catastrophe - the amazon sitcom. I both recommend it to anyone in a similar situation and am curious if you have other ideas like this.

RuPaul's Drag Race. Cheers me up every time.

Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
Airplane!

This show should have never been pulled off the air, the chemistry with the cast was really good.
