load me up on mindless fluff

Gallant is terrific.

If you like super-heroes, the Flash is fun. It is shined, good guy, Silver Age stuff.

I am not an action movie type at all, but love all the Mission Impossible movies. If you can forget about Tom Cruise being so weird in real life, he is great in them.

There was an hour long show that might appeal to you that was short lived, but makes a lot of great shows lists:
Pushing Daisies

Hope these help!

This show should have never been pulled off the air, the chemistry with the cast was really good.

Amazing show.

A fan club of three for the bitch in B! The parody of the Dawson character had me in stitches!

glad to come back to find people liked my suggestions

I was popping back on to suggest Cougar Town. I saw a second of it while someone was flipping through the channels tonight and thought "Damn, left that one off the list!"

I also loved another short lived comedy called Better Off Ted.

I also like Galavant. And I have a little crush on The Flash. His golly-gee-whiz good guy is adorkable and endearing. I of course also watch Arrow, because, well...Oliver is HOT AS HELL!

I personally just can't with anything Cruise-related. BUT, another franchise with lots of good action is The Bourne movies. Matt Damon as Jason Bourne? Yes, please.

As for light-hearted movies, I love Clueless and the 2 Legally Blonde movies. Always guaranteed to make me smile. Also like a couple other movies with actors from these two:
Overnight Delivery (Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon)
Importance of Being Earnest (Reese is in this with Colin Firth and Rupert Everett)
Speaking of Rupert Everett, there is My Best Friend's Wedding with Julia Roberts

And don't laugh, but I love the 2 Princess Diaries movies. I watch those with my daughter whenever she watches them.

That is a great movie but very much of a downer. OP, don't watch that one right now. It is not what you are looking for.

European Vacation (and Christmas Vacation if you didn't catch it with your Christmas movies)

Really raunchy, but American Pie

Enchanted, if only for the musical numbers

Singing in the Rain

50 First Dates

Second to Legally Blonde & Clueless

The Sandlot

Princess Bride

Ferris Bueller's Day Off!!!

yes to all 3. All very different, but great in their own way.

Old School was on TBS(?) last night, and I watched it because I was stuck in a room at my in-laws house. I am not as amused as my husband is by it, but it is pretty darn funny.

I have a Tom Hanks movie most people probably wouldn't think of - Joe Versus the Volcano.

Oh, and another great 80s flick - Moon Over Parador.
