I'm interested in this sofa ... anyone have any feedback on comfort and durability?

This is very specific. I have a fabric Ian in an L shaped sectional.

I also have this in a fabric sectional, L shape. It looks great, but is not a comfortable couch for lounging on nightly. Fine for visitors sitting and chatting.

Do you think it's comfortable, PP?

I like something that has you sit more upfight, with a tight back -- I don't care for the sofas that you sink into or that have lots of loose puffy cushions.

I love Room and Board but this looks like a sofa you could buy at Costco.

This is a boring sofa. What is so great about it?
You can get something similar at Macy's or Costco.

I think it's more simple than boring.

I think it's pretty comfortable. I like to sit cross legged on it at night and I find that very comfortable for lounging. The couch is about four to five years old now. The tight back makes occasional creaking noises. The cushions I sit on have gotten pretty soft. But I bought it because-- I knew the tight back was a pretty clean/simple/not messy look for me, I wanted a relatively shallow couch (not the super deep lounging only kind) and my dear husband required a sectional with a corner for him to curl up in (pre kids). I keep a bunch of nice throw pillows for people who need a little extra back support.

Thanks so much PP! That's exactly what I wanted to know. Sounds like it would be a good fit fo us.

I'm in my FR now looking at a couch from macy's that looks like this but 1/2 or more less in price. And after reading some comments it is comfortable-nap ready from Day 1.

I have this couch with fabric. We love it. It is comfortable, doesn't look messy as a result of no back cushions, seems to withstand 2 small children and a careless husband, and is deep enough that I can sleep on it (not that I would). I'd buy it again for sue.

I have it in fabric, too. I like it a lot. Very firm, which I like. But if I sit towards the front I tend to slide forward and almost off the sofa. It's very comfortable, and we also dress it up with throw pillows and blankets. Have only had it for a couple months, so no squeaking yet (as a PP reported).
